Later today, Electronic Arts and DICE will officially reveal and announce Battlefield V. What is really bugging us is what the setting of the game will be and when it will finally gets released. Right before the live stream, a new Battlefield V Cover has been revealed, hinting that it might be set in World War 2.
The aforementioned Battlefield V Cover art has shown up on Playstation 4 and shows a soldier in the image is wearing an M192 paratrooper outfit. That’s judging by the straps on the soldier’s legs and his baggy pockets. Information about some weapons of the game has been revealed, as you can see from the photo below:
A user on Reddit managed to line up the full photo of the soldier with the original Battlefield V logo reveal picture and realized that what we see there is his foot.
Another leak, this time from VentureBeat, also hints to Battlefield V setting in World War 2. It says:
“In Battlefield 1, you played one mission as a British tank driver in France, another as an American pilot fighting off a German raid while traveling to London, and a third as a Bedouin rebel working with Lawrence of Arabia. Expect Battlefield V to use this structure to take players to various theaters throughout the second World War.”
This looks like a possible scenario and, while Battlefield 1 has seen huge success for its realistic and dramatic war scenes, we expect the upcoming to be nothing less than its predecessor.
The Battlefield V Cover art looks 100% legit, as it follows the same artstyle as previous Battlefield titles like Battlefield 1. It won’t be long before we can stop guessing and get some real information about the upcoming title. Stay tuned for tonight’s Battlefield V reveal live stream on Twitch, Youtube, Mixer and the game’s website.
