LeBron James Will Grace the Cover of NBA 2K19 Anniversary Edition
Just a few weeks ago, we were posting our cover athlete predictions for the various editions of the upcoming NBA 2K19. One of our predictions was LeBron James, and now we are excited to report that he will be the cover athlete for the NBA 2K19 Anniversary edition.
This announcement comes via journalist RaSaan Harris of IRBGamer.com, who posted on Twitch today that, “It’s official. @KingJames is the cover star for NBA 2K19 20th Anniversary Edition.”
Previously, James has appeared on the cover of NBA 2K14 when he was playing his final season with the Miami Heat. Whether he will be staying with the Cleveland Cavaliers or quitting his contract this summer is uncertain at this point, so it will be interesting to see how that plays out with the cover.
Harris also posted a release date for the NBA 2K19 20th Anniversary Edition. We’ll be able to look forward to playing this version of the game on September 11th. If you opt for the standard edition, you’ll be able to snag that on September 7th. Until then, stay tuned for more updates!
