A slew of new details surrounding Little Dragons Cafe has been revealed ahead of its impending launch later this summer. While we already knew the basics of this highly anticipated Stardew Valley meets dragons game, we now know more about what you will be doing to keep your cafe running. For those that don’t know about the game already, it mixes a lot of elements of farming, breeding monsters, running your own cafe, and so much more.
The latest details via Siliconera, however, let us know about the various crafting and gathering systems that are in place. Little Dragons Cafe doesn’t seem to have its cafe as just a throwaway feature, as players will need to gather up materials to craft food and other items to keep the cafe running.
There will be many different ways of gathering items reminiscent of games like Animal Crossing, allowing the player to pick fruits and vegetables, grab birds, take eggs, fish, and much more around the various areas you can explore. It doesn’t stop with gathering the materials, though, as you will need the recipes in order to craft a specific food.
Finding the recipes in Little Dragons Cafe isn’t as simple as you would expect in other games. Each recipe is broken up into four different parts that must be found around the world. With all four pieces of a specific recipe, you will be able to speak with the elder in order to learn how to make that specific food item.
In addition to fishing, gathering, and other ways of finding food materials, there are some materials that can only be found by hunting down monsters in the world. Interestingly enough, it won’t be you hunting down these monsters but the dragon that you raise. This seems to bring all of the various, differing systems together and link them together. Little Dragons Cafe will release later this summer on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
