Following the recent ending of last week’s Loot Monster Mayhem and Rare Chest Riches mini-events in Borderlands 3, Gearbox has now launched their next pair of mini-events; the penultimate pair for the month of April. The new ‘Make it Rain’ and ‘Mr. Torgue’s Slaughter Onslaught’ events focus on increasing the number of cash and loot drops in the game.
Borderlands 3 Mini-Events: Mr. Torgue’s Slaughter Onslaught
The first of the two new Borderlands 3 mini-events is Mr. Torgue’s Slaughter Onslaught. As the name implies, this event focuses specifically on the Circle of Slaughter, which features Mr. Torgue as a commentator. So long as this mini-event is live, the number of “dedicated loot drops” from Circles of Slaughter bosses will increase over the normal amount. This is similar to other mini-events which have been run in the last few weeks which increase the loot drops of particular activities in Borderlands 3.
Borderlands 3 Mini-Events: Make it Rain
The second new event is a more generic but more widespread one. The Make it Rain mini-event simply increases the number of Cash drops from all normal, Badass, and Anointed enemies found throughout Borderlands 3. As such, over the course of the next week, players should find that they’re collecting more cash than normal as they play Borderlands 3.
Both the Make it Rain and Mr. Torgue’s Slaughter Onslaught mini-events will be live until 9:00 AM PT on the 23rd of April. At that point, they’ll both come to an end and the final pair of April mini-events will launch in-game. Gearbox’s ongoing Co-op Loot Drop event is still live too, of course. It will remain live for the rest of the month of April, only coming to an end on the 30th. (The date which will also presumably be the end date for the next pair of mini-events.) Next month, Gearbox will be launching their upcoming Revenge of the Cartels event, the first major Borderlands 3 event since their Halloween event last year.
