Madden 19 MUT Rising Stars For Week 5 Revealed: Bears’ Back, Eagles DE Join Team

The latest duo of Madden 19 MUT Rising Stars has been announced for Week 5. Now gamers who have the EA Sports title can boost two players from the NFC. The latest additions will be the Chicago Bears’ dynamic back Tarik Cohen, as well as the Philadelphia Eagles’ Derek Barnett. Here’s the latest on their seasons and how they benefit in the Madden 19 game.

Week 5’s Madden 19 MUT Rising Stars

The Chicago Bears are off to a hot start after losing their first game of the season to the Green Bay Packers in dramatic Aaron Rodgers fashion. Since then, Chicago has reeled off three straight wins en route to taking the lead of the NFC North. Last week, quarterback Mitchell Trubisky put on an amazing performance and received a Week 4 Madden Ultimate Team spot.

There are still many analysts (and naysayers) pointing to the Bears’ defense as helping them achieve these wins. However, it’s tough to ignore some of the offensive stars like Tarik Cohen. While the bulk of the rushing carries go to Jordan Howard, Tarik ranks second with 27 attempts. He’s got 139 yards on the ground so far, but no touchdowns. However, he’s continuing to blossom since arriving in Chicago in 2017.

Also added to the Week 5 Madden 19 MUT Rising Stars is Philadelphia Eagles pass rusher Derek Barnett. Much like Cohen, Barnett is in just his second NFL season. However, he’s already been a part of a Super Bowl winning-defense.

The 6-foot-3 defensive end from Tennessee has already racked up 13 combined tackles and 2.5 sacks for his season. However, he’ll be questionable with a shoulder injury ahead of Sunday’s big matchup with the NY Giants. If the Eagles are to turn things around, their defense will certainly be one of the main components of another successful run.

How the Madden 19 MUT Rising Stars Work

The Madden Ultimate Team Rising Stars is a way to recognize “the best emerging talent” the league has to offer, according to EA Sports. Previous MUT Rising Stars included the Cowboys’ Chidobe Awuzie, Jets’ Brandon Shell, and Titans’ Corey Davis.

In the Madden 19 game, Cohen and Barnett each have 81 ratings. However, adding the collectible Rising Stars Token for these players gives them a nice boost. With the token, gamers can train these players to upgrade each of them to an 87 overall rating. That’s a great boost for these players on the Madden Ultimate Team!

Each week throughout the season, EA will continue to reveal new players who have been added to their MUT Rising Stars. So gamers will need to keep a close eye on the latest Madden 19 news to see which players are selected!
