The 2018-19 NFL season is in the books and the New England Patriots are champions. While the real football season is over, it still plays on within Madden 19. Gamers can recreate the Super Bowl how they prefer it to be. In addition, they can practice with the players of the past, present, and future. In a recent preview, Madden 19 player ratings for three rising stars came under the spotlight to showcase some potential future stars.
Madden 19 player ratings preview: Guice, Golladay
While there are already stars in the game like Patrick Mahomes with 90 or better ratings, Madden’s team feels several young players could reach that level. They recently previewed three players who showed potential in the season that was.
That includes the Washington Redskins’ Derrius Guice. He suffered an ACL tear during the early part of the season so it gave less of a body of work to examine. Still, when he returns for the 2019-20 season he could be on a mission to prove just how good he is. He came into Madden 19 with a 90 Speed and 93 Agility among other noteworthy skills. He’s been compared to the Cowboys’ Ezekiel Elliott and EA Madden feels Guice has the ability to hit a 90 OVR next season.

A second player to keep an eye on is 84 OVR player Kenny Golladay of the Detroit Lions. His skills include 90 Awareness, Speed, and Catching. For the season, Golladay played in 15 of his team’s games for the season and finished with 70 receptions, five touchdowns, and 1,063 receiving yards. The Madden team feels this is another player due to his size, athleticism, and skills who can get to that 90 level.
Madden 19 player ratings preview: Chris Godwin
The third player that Madden’s crew spotlighted for a potential 90 rating is Chris Godwin. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver is an 81 OVR with a 91 Speed, 91 Accuracy, and 89 Catch for his skills. Madden’s team notes that opportunities could be on the way for Godwin in terms of more plays. That’s because DeSean Jackson and Adam Humphries may each find new teams to play for. If that’s the case, and Godwin gets more passes thrown his way, he could show a surge in improvement next season.
These three players certainly make smart choices as possible players to hit that 90 OVR. The players would reach those levels in a Madden 20 title rather than the 19 version. Which players do you expect to surge in the Madden 20 game?
