Madden 19 Player Spotlights For Ultimate Team Revealed Including Calvin Ridley, Justin Reid Cards
On Tuesday (June 18), EA unveiled more of their offseason Madden Ultimate Team player cards that are now in the game. Among the latest stars were Calvin Ridley, Vita Vea, and four other players billed as future stars for the NFL. There are several 99 OVR cards in there. Here’s more information about the Madden 19 Player Spotlights cards that are now available in the game.
Calvin Ridley, Justin Reid featured in new Madden 19 Player Spotlights cards
As mentioned Calvin Ridley and Justin Reid lead today’s Madden Daily Drops from EA’s Madden Twitch channel. Both the Falcons’ wide receiver and Texans’ strong safety bring 99 overall cards as part of this offseason MUT promotion. Here’s a look at Calvin Ridley’s numbers which include 99s for Catching, Speed, and Deep Route Running.
The Houston Texans’ Justin Reid brings players another good option for the strong safety position. The 6-foot-1 future star boasts 99 on his Pursuit along with 98s for Speed and Zone Coverage. Check out the numbers below.
Reid and Ridley are two of the six new player cards now available as “Future Stars” in Player Spotlights. There are also two new Classics players and two new Sleeper Hits players. Here’s a look at all of the new Player Spotlights cards that arrived on Tuesday via Madden Daily Drops.

- WR Calvin Ridley (Falcons) 99 – Future Stars
- RT Marcus Gilbert (Steelers) 98 – Classics
- CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (Giants) 98 – Classics
- HB Nyheim Hines (Colts) 97 – Sleeper Hits
- DT Vita Vea (Buccaneers) 97 – Sleeper Hits
How to get the new cards in Ultimate Team
Similar to other promotions that Madden has done in Ultimate Team such as their NFL Draft event, gamers will need to build a set to exchange for the Player Spotlights card of their choice. There are different requirements for each of the sets.
To earn a 99 OVR Future Stars card you’ll need a set of 11 Elite, 11 Gold, and 11 Silver MUT Tokens. For a 98 OVR Classics card, you’ll need a set of 8 Elite, 9 Gold, and 8 Silver MUT Tokens. To earn a 97 OVR Sleeper Hits card, you’ll need 6 Elite, 7 Gold, and 6 Silver MUT Tokens.
These newest Madden 19 Player Spotlights players cards join the other player cards revealed just last week. They included Future Stars Baker Mayfield and Jaire Alexander. There was also Classics players LeSean McCoy and Akiem Hicks as well as Sleeper Hits players Jerome Baker and Jonnu Smith. All of those cards carry similar ratings to today’s cards based on which group they’re in (Future Stars, Classics, or Sleeper Hits).
