Every Tuesday and Thursday, Madden Ultimate Team now has brand new Position Heroes cards available. On May 21, they released four brand new player cards for gamers to check out. Amongst the big stars getting a new 99 overall card is Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. There’s also Kansas City Chiefs right end Chris Jones now in Madden 19 Position Heroes.
Russell Wilson card headlines new Madden 19 Position Heroes
The Seattle Seahawks recently gave their star quarterback a mega-deal and now he’s got a mega-card in Madden Ultimate Team. It’s a 99 overall Power Up card which features 98 Throw on the Run, 97 Throw Accuracy, 96 Throw Power, and 94 Play Action, amongst other Key Attributes. The 89 Speed may not be the greatest, however, it’s a Power Up card so keep that in mind.
Joining Russell Wilson in the new quartet of Position Heroes cards is the Chiefs’ right end, Chris Jones. His card (below) also has that 99 overall but does not appear to have a Power Up sign attached to it. Jones brings the 99 for FInesse Moves, 98 Tackle, and 98 Play Recognition. His speed is also low at 80 and the Strength at 93 could be improved upon by using Chemistry with your MUT roster.
The Chris Jones card also provides Ultimate Team rosters with a good blocker for their halfback based on his size and strength. There are plenty of MUT gamers out there rolling with the Kansas Chiefs as their squad, so he’ll be a welcome addition for those individuals’ rosters.
More Position Heroes, New House Rules
Two other players were unveiled in addition to Russell Wilson and Chris Jones. They are Houston Texans middle linebacker Benardrick McKinney and Pittsburgh Steelers left tackle, Alejandro Villanueva. Each player has a 99 Overall card in the MUT Position Heroes series.
McKinney’s top attributes include a 99 Power, 99 Pursuit, and 99 Awareness along with 98 Tackling. He’s also got a 95 Speed and 95 Acceleration making him a great addition for the defensive side of things. His selection for Position Heroes makes sense based on his resume as achieving 105 combined tackles, 1.5 sacks, and being named to the Pro Bowl team this season.
As for Villanueva, gamers will receive a 99 OVR card with 99s for Awareness and Run Blocking Power, as well as a 91 for Strength. Most gamers realize he was in need of an upgrade based on how well he played is position in Pittsburgh the past season. Steelers fan will surely be looking to scoop this up if they are using the “black and yellow” as their MUT squad.
The newest Madden 19 House Rules are also in effect. This week’s edition is “Splash Plays” and features 10 points awarded for any touchdown of 20-plus yards. Players score 14 points for any touchdowns that are 40-plus yards. Gamers who can win 10 games under these rules will earn a 94-plus OVR Fantasy Pack. Keep in mind House Rules will last until Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Eastern Time.
