Gamers looking for those new Madden 19 Power Up cards for the unsung heroes of the NFL are getting them each week of the offseason. Thanks to the Madden Ultimate Team event called Position Heroes, every Tuesday and Thursday is bringing us six to eight new player cards. On May 30, we found out who the newest cards are including Power Up cards for Leighton Vander Esch and Ryan Ramczyk.
Cowboys’ Vander Esch leads latest Madden 19 Power Up cards for Position Heroes
Coming off his rookie campaign, the Dallas Cowboys linebacker Leighton Vander Esch has been a welcome addition to the team. In the Madden Ultimate Team world, Vander Esch had a 96 overall on his previous best cards for Team of the Year and Rookie Premiere.
Today, Madden 19 Position Heroes added him to the group of 99 OVR players with a Power Up card. It boasts attributes such as 99 Tackle, 97 Acceleration, 93 Block Shedding, and 92 Speed. It’s certainly a deserved card for the Cowboys rookie who had 102 solo tackles and a Pro Bowl appearance in his first season.
Joining him as a Position Heroes Power Up card today is New Orleans Saints right tackle Ryan Ramczyk. He was part of a Saints line that protected Drew Brees quite well. The end result was New Orleans went on to score the third most points of all teams in the NFL this past season with 504. Ramczyk brings 99 Awareness, 99 Run Block, 98 Pass Block, and 95 Strength on a card full of the 90s.
The biggest addition above isn’t those two cards but instead a 99 overall card for punter Andy Lee. That particular card will give many Ultimate Teams a 99 overall team now. It’s been a long wait, though. Lee’s card brings 99 Kicking Power and 97 Kick Accuracy. An 87 Awareness is also nice for this particular card when added to your roster.
Using him for trick plays such as a QB option might be tricky. Lee has lackluster Throw Power and Throw Accuracy. However, a 99 overall card is the one many have been waiting for.
A 99-rated Justin Tucker without the Power Ups is also a welcome addition. Tucker is a household name as the Baltimore Ravens kicker. His card includes 99 Kicking Power, 96 Kick Accuracy, and a 92 Awareness. The First-Team All-Pro kicker hit 35 field goals this past season. Five of those were 50 yards or more, so that will certainly help in Ultimate Team.
Gamers can find these and the other Position Heroes by building sets through challenges, or in MUT packs, or through the Auction House in Ultimate Team. Which of the Madden 19 Power Up cards from Position Heroes do you like the most?
