Madden 19 Program Stars Cards: George Kittle, Harrison Smith Join Ultimate Team Event
Just days ago, the new Madden 19 Programs Stars cards were announced as a new group of 99 OVR players arrived. They included stars such as Alan Page, Julio Jones, and Leonard Fournette in a new program involving solo challenges, Tokens, and sets. On Wednesday (June 5), we learned of two brand new Program Stars available in packs. They’re both limited player cards, so gamers are going to need act quickly, or spend a lot in the auctions.
George Kittle, Harrison Smith added to Madden 19 Program Stars
The San Francisco 49ers’ George Kittle returns to Madden Ultimate Team with his best card yet in Program Stars. Kittle previously appeared on the Madden 19 Team of the Year with a 95 OVR card. Now he receives the 99 upgrade which includes 99 Catching, 98 Catch in Traffic, 98 Awareness, 95 Speed, and 95 Acceleration. Gamers have been asking for a new Kittle upgrade for a while, but as at least one commenter joked on the recent tweet, this could be “Too Kittle, Too Late” for Ultimate Team.
Joining Kittle in the LTD release is the Minnesota Vikings’ Harrison Smith. The free safety’s new 99 OVR card has 99 Play Recognition, 99 Zone Coverage, 98 Acceleration, and 94 Speed amongst his Key Attributes.
A 6-foot-2 star in the secondary bringing that sort of acceleration and hit power are bonuses. The card works for many MUT rosters and especially those built on a Vikings foundation. Still, some gamers may opt for Jack Tatum or Eddie Jackson as their free safety.
How to get the new Program Stars in MUT
The new George Kittle and Harrison Smith Program Stars cards are available for a limited time. Per the Madden Store they’ll be available for just a few days, with June 7 at 10 a.m. Eastern Time the cutoff. Packs are available for different price levels and bundles. Most deals involve spending either Points or Coins to get them.
The Auction House is another place to look, but as mentioned this is the much costlier method. The 49ers’ Kittle 99 OVR cards have popped up with prices over 1.3 million coins but no bidders as of this report.
As the Madden 19 Program Stars cards continue to arrive, gamers are also anticipating the newest details for Madden 20. This coming weekend there should be some interesting first looks at the new Madden gameplay with EA Play, so stay tuned!
