Two games are on the slate for the NFL Week 16 schedule on Saturday with playoff implications in both of them. In one game the Washington Redskins battle the Tennessee Titans. In the other, it’s the Baltimore Ravens visiting the Los Angeles Chargers. Several of these teams may end up in the postseason. Thanks to Madden 19, fans are getting some NFL Week 16 predictions ahead of these matchups.
Madden 19 Simulation, Predictions for Redskins vs. Titans
In Week 15 of the NFL, the Titans and Redskins each recorded low-scoring victories. Now, Washington and Tennessee face off at 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time in Nashville. As of this report, both teams are “in the hunt” as far as qualifying for the playoffs. The Titans are 8-6 overall and contending with the Indianapolis Colts (8-6) for one of the final spots. They’ve got the Baltimore Ravens, another team playing today, already in as a Wild Card team. That makes the second game of the day important as well.
As far as this one goes, the EA Madden Twitter put out their simulation results for both games as seen in the image below. Right now, they’ve got this Redskins vs. Titans matchup as a close one with a 28-21 finish in favor of Tennessee at home. It makes sense as the Washington Redskins continue to deal with life after the season-ending injury to starting quarterback Alex Smith. They’ll rely on backup QB Josh Johnson in Madden at least.

The App Trigger website also provides a prediction for this game. Their simulation gives a much different story, in a close finish. As Michael Owens reports, it will be a 19-17 win for the visitors, giving the Redskins more hope towards securing a Wild Card spot in the NFC. However, based on the Madden 19 simulation there, this game will be uneventful in the second half with the Redskins scoring nine points. They’ll all come on field goals in a come-from-behind win.
Their simulation also shows subpar numbers for Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota as he’ll finish with 138 yards and a touchdown to Anthony Firsker. On the other side, the Redskins’ Josh Johnson will have 179 yards passing while running back Adrian Peterson goes off for 144 yards and a TD in a stellar outing.
Madden 19 Simulation, Predictions for Ravens vs. Chargers
As seen in the Madden simulated results up above, they are predicting an even closer finish for this game. Madden’s NFL 19 prediction for the late game has the Chargers winning at home 24-21 in what could be a marquee matchup on Saturday night. Right now, the two teams are AFC playoff teams, with more on the line for the Ravens should they lose.
Good news for Ravens fans, as App Trigger’s Madden 19 simulation is going against what the EA Sports folks have posted. Their prediction is a 31-24 win in favor of the visiting Baltimore Ravens. These teams are both AFC contenders right now and have playoff spots. A win by Baltimore keeps them in there while the Chargers won’t be too hurt by the loss.

In the simulation, Lamar Jackson had 223 passing yards and two rushing touchdowns. Running back Gus Edwards also chipped in with 20 carries for 76 yards and two TDs. On the opposing side, MVP candidate Philip Rivers went off for 303 yards and two touchdowns. Travis Benjamin led the receiving corp with 83 yards while Melvin Gordon had 44 yards and a TD.
It’s always fun to see what the various Madden 19 simulations have to say for the weekly games. Gamers can play out these simulations on their consoles as well. However, NFL fans are ready to watch the real live games to see what results they yield.
