Madden 19 Ultimate Legends Cards Arrive for Broncos’ Shannon Sharpe, Chargers’ Rodney Harrison in MUT

As Madden Ultimate Team rolls on this offseason, brand new content continues to arrive in the game. Recently, they unveiled a Fan Appreciation event which features a way to earn a free JuJu Smith-Schuster 99 NAT card. Joining that event this weekend is the release of several brand new Madden 19 Ultimate Legends cards. These bring some of the all-time greats from the gridiron back in the game for MUT rosters.

Shannon Sharpe headlines Madden 19 Ultimate Legends cards

Former Denver Broncos star Shannon Sharpe currently stars as an on-television sports personality across from Skip Bayless on Fox Sports 1. Prior to that, he made a name for himself as one of the best receivers in the game, winning three Super Bowl rings. While one of those was with the Baltimore Ravens in 2000, Sharpe spent the bulk of his 13-year career in Denver. A total of 10,060 receiving yards and 62 touchdowns are also part of his impressive resume.

He leads the way for the new Madden 19 Ultimate Legends cards revealed this weekend (see EA Madden tweet). Sharpe’s 99 overall card includes 94 Catching, 93 Catch in Traffic, 92 Short Route Run, and 91 Speed amongst his Key Attributes. Best of all, gamers who get this card can power it up how they like. This one will be especially nice for Broncos or Ravens-themed teams.

Many gamers may have Sharpe as their Madden Ultimate Team captain so this is an upgraded card. It’s also worth noting that this new Shannon Sharpe is the limited-time card for this weekend’s offerings.

Sharpe’s card isn’t quite as good as the Rob Gronkowski 99 NAT Tribute card that arrived a few months ago. However, it’s still a very good Legends card that could fetch some coins on the market should a gamer pull it from packs.

Harrison, Anderson also in MUT Legends

Shannon is joined by two other greats including former Chargers safety Rodney Harrison and former Bengals right guard Willie Anderson. Anderson played in the NFL from 1996 through 2008. Harrison was there from 1994 through 2008.

Both were integral parts of their teams during their careers. Harrison finished out his career with the New England Patriots. In his 14 years, he tallied nearly 1,200 combined tackles along with 30.5 career sacks. Harrison also achieved back-to-back Super Bowl rings with the Patriots (2004, 2005). Like Sharpe, he now enjoys a career in television as part of the NBC Sports NFL crew.

Anderson achieved four Pro Bowl selections and three First-team All-Pro selections. In his 195 games played he recovered four fumbles with three of those for the Bengals. Anderson was also named to the 50 greatest Bengals players for their all-time team revealed just two seasons ago.

Just like Sharpe’s card, both of these guys bring some stellar attributes on their Madden 19 Ultimate Legends cards. In particular, Anderson’s card boasts a number of key attributes in the 97 to 99 range. A 95 Speed for Harrison is also quite nice and the Power Up possibility exists for both cards.

Gamers can acquire these new Madden 19 Ultimate Legends cards through the game’s Ultimate Team feature. The Ultimate Legends Fantasy packs cost 120,000 coins or 2,000 points at the Store. There are also 3x Ultimate Legends Bundle packs for 5,850 points or 6X Ultimate Legends Bundle packs for 12,000 points. In addition, these particular player cards are likely to pop up over at the Auction House for a hefty price.
