It may not be football season just yet, but the excitement of the NFL has been present this past week into the weekend. There’s the NFL Draft event going on in Nashville, Tennessee where quarterback Kyler Murray was the first pick. There was also the recent announcement of the new Madden 20 game including cover athlete and pre-order details. On Saturday, the current title added new Ultimate Team Legends. Here’s the latest on the new Madden 19 Ultimate Legends cards.
Madden 19 Ultimate Legends Terrell Owens
Every Saturday, the Daily Drops show on EA’s Madden Twitch channel showcases new content. That includes Madden 19 Ultimate Legends cards. Today we got legends from both sides of the ball with Terrell Owens and Rod Woodson. Both are 99 overall cards with Power Up possibilities attached. First up, is the man who made one of the covers of Madden 19, Terrell Owens.
“TO” is well known for his career in the league as a proficient and flamboyant wide receiver. The 6-foot-3 star spent his career playing for the 49ers, Eagles, and Cowboys. He’d play out his final seasons in 2009 and 2010 with the Bills and Bengals. During all that time, he racked up plenty of yards with 15,934. That puts him third all-time behind Larry Fitzgerald and Jerry Rice. Owens also had 153 career TDs, so this 99 OVR card is well-earned.
As seen on Owens’ new card above, he brings the Key Attributes in the 90s across the board. That includes a 99 Catch in Traffic and 97 Jumping. MUT gamers won’t mind his 95 Catching or 95 Speed scores either. In addition to that, he’s great for 49ers MUT teams and has that Power Up symbol on his new Legends card.
Madden 19 Ultimate Legends Rod Woodson
Along with an offensive legend comes one for defense. Rod Woodson certainly fits that category. The former Pittsburgh Steelers star spent 16 years in the league and the first nine seasons were with the Steelers. During that time, he tallied 38 interceptions with 779 yards and five touchdowns. A total of 16 forced fumbles, 21 fumble recoveries, and 13.5 sacks also came during his time in Pittsburgh.
In addition to all that with Pittsburgh, Woodson played for the 49ers, Ravens, and Raiders. He’d capture a Super Bowl ring with Baltimore in 2001. This Hall of Famer is certainly a legend, and now an Ultimate Legend card is available.
Just like TO’s card, Woodson brings that 99 overall rating and Power Up potential. He’s got a blazing fast 97 Speed, along with 97s for Zone Coverage and Man Coverage. In addition, there’s the 98s. Those are on Woodson’s Acceleration, Agility, and Play Recognition. So this card is definitely one to look for as an addition to your defensive side of things in Ultimate Team!
Madden 19 Ultimate Legends Jeremy Shockey
Each weekend also brings a limited Legends card. For this Saturday, that card goes out to Jeremy Shockey. Shockey was in the league from 2002 through 20011 with his first six seasons on the Giants. He’d also play for the Saints and Panthers before calling it a career. During all that time, the 6-foot-5 tight end had 547 receptions for 6,143 yards and 37 touchdowns.
Here’s a look at Shockey’s LTD card with 99 OVR and Power Up status.
Shockey’s card is available for just a limited time as it’s advertised until April 29 at 10 a.m. Eastern Time. All three players are available in the Madden 19 Ultimate Team Store area through packs.
The packs aren’t necessarily cheap, though. A 6X Ultimate Legends Bundle goes for 12,000 points if you have it. There’s also a Legends Fantasy Pack for 75,000 VC (1,200 points) or an Ultimate Legends Fantasy Pack for 120,000 VC (2,000 points). The other option is to hit the Auction House and pick up the player(s) you want, but that also comes with a high price.
Will you be adding any of the above players to your Madden 19 Ultimate Team?
