Madden 19 Zero Chill Players: MUT Event Adds Calvin Johnson, Deion Sanders, & More OOP Ironmen

As December continues to bring cold temperatures and holiday cheer, EA Sports’ Madden 19 Zero Chill promotion is in full effect. The latest event is part of Madden Ultimate Team (MUT) and features special challenges and content. Many legends of the gridiron are making their way into the promotion including Calvin Johnson and Deion Sanders. In addition, Madden has released several more “OOP” stars for MUT.

Madden 19 Zero Chill players: “Megatron,” “Primetime” join MUT

Following in the footsteps of Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, two more all-time stars in the NFL were both added to the Madden Ultimate Team Zero Chill event. Gamers are looking to add retired stars Calvin “Megatron” Johnson and Deion “Primetime” Sanders to their teams through the Zero Chill event. Both players are part of the “Out of Position Ironmen” cards that are now available.

Johnson spent his career playing for the Detroit Lions, starting in 2007 and retiring just a few years ago. Between 2007 and 2015 Johnson had a career 731 receptions for 11,619 yards and 93 touchdowns. It was a Hall of Fame career that led some fans to believe Johnson might consider ending retirement to return for a chance at a ring. However, “Megatron” seems content to stay away from the field. Madden 19 gamers can still bring a free safety Johnson to the field in the game now.

Sanders was in the league for an 11-year stint and retired in 2001. However, he returned to the game he loved in 2004 and played for two seasons with the Baltimore Ravens before officially calling it quits. His career numbers included stats on both offense and defense due to his athletic abilities. Now gamers can add a Deion Sanders Zero Chill wide receiver to their MUT.

Other Madden 19 Zero Chill Players for OOP

Sanders and Johnson are just two of the OOP Ironmen now available for Madden 19 Zero Chill. Earlier on Wednesday (Dec. 19), they unveiled a number of other players for the promotion. They included current players such as the New England Patriots’ Julian Edelman at cornerback and the Los Angeles Rams’ Aaron Donald at the left guard spot for the team. It’s a great way to shake things up. Edelman has shown skills at quarterback before, so giving him a defensive spot is interesting here.

As seen in the EA Madden 19 tweet photo above, other notables include the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Ben Roethlisberger as the punter and the San Francisco 49ers’ Richard Sherman as a wide receiver. It opens up some interesting options for the Madden 19 Ultimate Team builders based on this latest promotion. Imagine if your team’s success will hinge on how well “Big Ben” can deliver punts to the opponent?

The new Madden 19 Zero Chill promotion comes after the release of the Ghosts of Madden Future players. That special group of players are specific rookies chosen based on future potential. Among the names making it into the group were Jets quarterback Sam Darnold and Ravens tight end Hayden Hurst.
