Amongst the early players revealed were the Arizona Cardinals’ Kyler Murray, Seattle Seahawks’ DK Metcalf, and the Oakland Raiders’ Jonathan Abram. Here’s a look at who all of the players are in the new Blitz group as well as some details about Blitz Boltz currency and challenges.
Madden 20 Blitz arrives brings upgrades
The new Madden 20 Blitz promotion officially arrives at 8 p.m. Eastern Time on Thanksgiving. Starting at midnight they will have special offers. They began to reveal some of the players earlier on the EA Madden Twitch stream for gamers to get a glimpse of what to expect.
Below is a look at a group of 87 and 88 overall-rated players including Montez Sweat, Matt Breida, and Jonathan Abram.
In addition, they revealed a group of players with 89 and 90 ratings for the Madden 20 Blitz promotion. Among them are Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray, Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf, and Vikings cornerback Trae Waynes.
As of 7 p.m. Eastern Time on Thursday night, EA Madden Ultimate Team Twitter posted another group of players. Here are the guys rated 90 or 91 overall including the Vikings’ Dalvin Cook, Eagles’ Lane Johnson, and Jaguars’ Josh Allen.
Blitz players are available in packs at Ultimate Team Store. A MUT Blitz Pack is 35,000 Coins or 500 Points. A 12X MUT Blitz Bundle is 5,850 Points and includes 2,300 Blitz Boltz currency. Gamers can also buy 100 Blitz Boltz for 500 Coins.
There are also a number of packs gamers can purchase with Blitz Boltz currency including Veterans, Elite Players, Harvest, and TOTW packs at the store.
New currency and challenges available
In addition to the new Madden 20 Blitz player items, there is a new in-game currency called Blitz Boltz. Gamers should receive a welcome pack for the promotion which includes 100 Boltz upon logging into Ultimate Team at 8 p.m. Eastern Time or after. There are a number of ways to earn Blitz Boltz.
Right now, there are some Harvest: Limited-Time Challenges available until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on Nov. 28 which will give Blitz Boltz as rewards. That’s a way to get a head start ahead of the 8 p.m. ET start for the promo.
Gamers will also have new Challenges available in the Blitz Promotion. Blitz Bash will feature limited-time “House Rule style” challenges beginning at midnight. These are Blitz: Strike and Blitz: Tug of War. Every eight hours throughout MUT Blitz, these will alternate, but they’ll give Madden Coins and Blitz Boltz. It’s best to play this on two Stars to get the Blitz Boltz.
House Rules will also change up a bit to allow gamers to earn Blitz Boltz throughout the promotion. This will be done through the Blitz: Drive and Blitz: Hot Potato House Rules events.
Blitz: Drive – The offense has one drive to score and defense has to stop them.
Blitz: Hot Potato – teams receive 20 points for a 30-yard passing touchdown. There’s also a six-second pass timer and one point is deducted for an incomplete pass.
For these events, it appears that each win brings a reward of 25 Blitz Boltz and 200 Madden Coins. Each loss still receives 100 Madden Coins.
So remember, to log in around 8 p.m. Eastern Time to start participating in Blitz Boltz, with the special additional content coming at midnight. We expect we’ll see player items start to pop up on the Auction Browser very soon after the promo begins.
