Madden 20 Most Feared: How to Get Bats & What to Use Them For in Ultimate Team

With the release of the new Madden 20 Most Feared came a brand new currency. Since the newest Ultimate Team program involves a “scary” Halloween theme behind it, naturally the new in-game currency is called “Bats.” They’re similar to Trophies or Training in that they will be part of the currencies shown at the top of the Ultimate Team screen. So let’s take a look at how to get the Most Feared Bats and what to use them for in Madden 20 Ultimate Team.

How to get Bats in Madden 20 Most Feared

One way to earn Bats in Madden 20 Most Feared is by playing specific Challenges. Head into Ultimate Team and on the “Missions” screen choose “Most Feared.” On the next screen, you’ll have an option to play the Cauldron or Pun Zone Challenges. You’ll want to select “Pun Zone” because this is where you can rack up the Bats. They’re not available in the Cauldron challenges.

There are 10 different Pun Zone Challenges available:

  • Ghouls Just Want to Have Fun
  • Your Mummy
  • Holy Heck
  • Just Plain Batty
  • Silly Hollow
  • Funny Bone
  • Have You Howling
  • Hex-Larious
  • Defensive Demon-Stration
  • Have a Fang-Tastic Holiday!

Each of those challenges allows you to play on a difficulty level from One star (Easy) to Three stars (Hard). In addition, there are two bonus goals each worth one star. So you can technically earn up to five stars on each challenge. The more Stars, the more rewards, and that means Bats!

You can earn as much as 50 Bats per challenge, so that’s 500 Bats. However, at 50 Stars earned they’ll reward you 600 Bats. So that’s quite a lot of free Bats to rack up there. By the way, there are other rewards for completing the Pun Zone challenges, including a free Team Captain upgrade token after 10 Stars.

The Pun Zone is just one way to get the Bats, there’s also selling certain Most Feared items. On some player items or other items, keep an eye on the “Quicksell” spot on the bottom of the card to see if it’s possible to sell for Bats. This is one other way to rack up the currency for use in the Store.

What do you use Bats for in Ultimate Team?

In the Madden 20 Ultimate Team Store, they have a number of different items available which players can spend their Bats on. Head to the Store and scroll on the top options to “Most Feared.” This opens a screen with all the different items from the promotion you can buy.

Most of the items you see at first are only available for Madden Points or Coins. For example, there’s a 24X Most Feared Bundle that is going for 12,000 Points ($12 USD). There are other options such as a Most Feared Pack for 20,000 Madden Coins (500 Points) and other items like uniforms. However, scroll to the right of the available items and the “Bats” options show up.

Right now, items cost as few as 95 Bats, or as much as 47,250 Bats. Here’s a list of what’s available (as of Sunday 10/20):

  • 92 OVR Most Feared Bundle (47,250 Bats)
  • 85-88 OVR Most Feared Player (8,830 Bats)
  • Material Fantasy Pack (1,050 Bats)
  • Skill Material (95 Bats)

The materials are especially helpful in getting those players we mentioned in our report about the Madden Most Feared details. These include Scary Fast, Scary Strong, and Scary Sharp players. Some of the top player items so far have included Cam Newton, Earl Thomas III, and Tyler Lockett. So once you have Bats you can start trying to get more materials, or simply buy the player packs to build your Ultimate Team roster up.
