The NFL Pro Bowl 2020 game took place on Sunday with the stars of the AFC and NFC facing off in Orlando, Florida. Ahead of the matchup, former star wide receiver Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson showed up to talk Madden 20 ratings with the various players there for what’s considered the NFL’s All-Star game. As usual, players had plenty to say about what their numbers in EA’s Madden video game need to be.
Chad Johnson discusses Madden 20 ratings with Pro Bowl players
EA’s Madden NFL Twitter posted a video featuring Chad Johnson speaking with various Pro Bowl stars about Madden 20 ratings. Appearing in the clip are Dallas Cowboys star running back Ezekiel Johnson, Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre’Davious White, and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.
Also appearing are two members of the New Orleans Saints. During an interaction with quarterback Drew Brees, Johnson teased that his feet are always ready to go. Could he become a possible receiving threat for Brees? He also spoke with Brees’ current top receiver, Madden 99 Club member Michael Thomas. The Saints star said he feels he drops too many passes in the game.
Bills cornerback Tre’Davious White spoke about being rated too low and behind 14 or 15 other cornerbacks in the Madden 20 ratings. He said people are telling him he “sucks” in the video game so that needs to change. However, White also has one of the best cornerback cards currently available in Ultimate Team as we pointed out in comparison to Mel Renfro’s new card.
AFC wins Pro Bowl, Jackson is Offensive MVP
In the Pro Bowl game, the NFC would go on to claim a 38-33 victory over the AFC. Two players who weren’t part of the Madden 20 ratings video were Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and Jaguars star Calais Campbell.
During the game, Jackson threw 16-of-23 completions for 185 yards and two touchdowns to claim the Offensive MVP Award. Campbell won the Defensive honors for his performance which included one sack in the game.
Of those two players, Jackson is also the frontrunner for the NFL MVP Award based on his past season of work for the Ravens. He’s currently rated a 92 OVR in the game and probably has reason to be higher. Many people already believe he’s the easy choice for Madden 21 cover star, following in the footsteps of Patrick Mahomes. It shouldn’t be long before he’s in the 99 Club for the game’s ratings.
That said, the Madden 20 ratings discussion will rage on once the Super Bowl has come and gone. The offseason will give plenty of time to evaluate which of the numbers need upgrades heading towards the new season.
