On September 19, EA released a good bit of content and updates for the Madden 20 game. As reported here earlier, they unveiled two new Madden 20 Signature Series players. However, they also launched another good-sized title update to fix gameplay and other issues in Madden. In addition, they updated the Madden 20 ratings for players, bringing stars Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes closer to the 99 Club.
Mahomes, Brady, & Prescott amongst Madden 20 ratings movers
The Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes and New England Patriots’ Tom Brady have each led their squads to 2-0 starts so far this season. Both quarterbacks have been impressive early on, as they’ve found a variety of targets for scoring opportunities. Most recently, Brady and the Pats put up a 43-0 final score on Miami, while Mahomes and the Chiefs defeated the Raiders 28-10.
Due to their performances, Mahomes and Brady each improved by a point in the new Madden 20 ratings update. So did the Cowboys’ Dak Prescott, who has also helped his team achieve a 2-0 start. However, Madden cover star Mahomes is just one point away from getting into the game’s 99 Club, while Brady is now two points away. They would join the four guys that started the season there: DeAndre Hopkins, Aaron Donald, Khalil Mack, and Bobby Wagner.
Ironically, Brady’s newest receiving target, Antonio Brown is also right on the cusp of making his return to the 99 level. Use the EA link below to check out who else went up or down this week for their OVRs.
September title update arrives for game
In addition to updating player ratings in the game, EA developers also updated the game itself. Their latest title update for September made a number of improvements for gameplay, glitches, animation, or likeness issues. For example, they updated Madden 20 Legends player Terrell Owens‘ likeness in the game to better reflect how he looks. That was the only change for Ultimate Team in the update.
In addition, some of the other title updates included adding several new “Legendary” players to the Superstar: KO draft pool, improving tackle animations in a number of ways, and tweaking user-controlled defenders’ abilities to get interceptions. They also fixed a “rare issue” where a wide FG kick was being counted as good. Those are just a few of the tweaks, though.
The September 19 title update should install upon launching the game if the PS4 or Xbox One is online. The latest Madden 20 update makes important changes to Franchise mode, game presentation, gameplay, Superstar KO, and general stability for the game. See the complete Gridiron Notes here for all the details on what was tweaked, improved, or updated.
On Friday, there will be more content on the way, especially for Madden Ultimate Team with the introduction of Series 2 rewards, and a new MUT10 player reveal. See our Madden news page to stay updated on all of the latest.
