Madden 20 Ratings Update: Russell Wilson Surges, Baker Mayfield Slumps for Week 6
The newest Madden 20 ratings update has been revealed as Week 6 gets going on Thursday night. Some of the players moving up in terms of their overall ratings included members of the Seattle Seahawks. In particular, quarterback Russell Wilson saw a nice boost after his recent winning performance. However, a major struggle by Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield saw his overall slide. Here’s a look at how they fared and a few others.
Russell Wilson moves up in Madden 20 ratings update
The Seattle Seahawks are off to a great start to their 2019-20 NFL season and Russell Wilson is part of that reason. In last Thursday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, the Seahawks QB finished with 17-of-23 completed passes for 268 yards and four touchdowns with zero interceptions.
Based on that performance, he gets a two-point boost in the Madden 20 ratings upgrade. Wilson is now a 95 overall in the game and amongst the top quarterbacks behind only Tom Brady and 99 OVR Patrick Mahomes.
His teammate Cris Carson was also a large part of the Seahawks’ victory over the Rams. Carson was the recipient of one of Wilson’s touchdown throws. He also racked up 118 yards in the game on 27 carries. According to the new Madden 20 ratings, the Seattle running back moves up a point to become an 86.
By the way, there are some people discussing Carolina Panthers’ halfback Christian McCaffrey as an MVP candidate already this season. In his most recent performance, he had 176 yards and two rushing TDs as well as a receiving touchdown. McCaffrey moves up one point to a 93 after he received a two-point boost on Awareness to 91.
Baker Mayfield slides after losing performance
A 31-3 loss at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers was a bad look for the Cleveland Browns during Monday Night Football. Shouldering a lot of blame in the loss was quarterback Baker Mayfield. The second-year QB had a dismal performance of just 8-for-22 passing with 100 yards and two interceptions. He was also sacked four times for a loss of 42 yards in the game.
It’s no surprise to see Mayfield with a two-point drop in this week’s Madden 20 ratings to just an 80 OVR. However, he still has that Madden 20 Epics item in Ultimate Team, so there’s that.
Joining Mayfield amongst the sliding football players are Leighton Vander Esch of the Cowboys and Tyler Eifert of the Bengals. Both players have dropped down to 85 OVR. Vander Esch had a number of missed tackles in a loss to the Packers while the Bengals’ tight end came up with only 14 yards on two receptions in a loss to the Cardinals.
