In the weeks leading up to EA’s release of Madden 20 football game, they’re sharing key details on special in-game abilities. The Superstar X-Factor players include the best-of-the-best in the NFL today such as Ezekiel Elliott, Aaron Donald, and Tom Brady. EA is revealing which players qualify as these elite superstars and what their abilities are. The latest reveal includes Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers who will have Gambler and Deadeye as his Madden 20 superstar abilities in the new game.
Aaron Rodgers’ Madden 20 superstar abilities
While EA has been revealing the Madden 20 superstar abilities for X-Factor players on their site, Monday brought a tweet from PlayStation. They officially showed off what the Packers’ Aaron Rodgers brings to the game. While we learned he’ll have the fastest Madden 20 QB throwing animation, we now know what else he’ll have.
According to the tweet, Rodgers’ zone ability is called “Gambler.” That allows him to take high-risk gambles when it comes to the passes he throws. When he’s in the zone, he can take these risks without any worry of being intercepted by the AI defenders. So lob those long passes down the field and hope for that prayer to be answered, but you don’t have to worry about being picked off.
To activate Rodgers’ Gambler X-Factor ability requires making consecutive passes for five-plus yards in the air. If Rodgers throws an incomplete pass, he loses the Gambler ability.
The Green Bay Packers’ QB also brings three other special abilities. Two of those involve Deadeye. The Dashing Deadeye allows Rodgers to throw perfectly accurate passes while running outside the pocket. Roaming Deadeye is the same, only when Rodgers is just standing outside the pocket. Rodgers’ final ability is Pass Lead Elite which gives him more range on all of his precision passing in the game.

Some people are already referring to the Madden 20 Superstar abilities as cheat codes. That may be especially true for Rodgers but he’s got the skills in the NFL. Being able to lob long passes down the field and not worry about INTs is a huge assist. However, keep in mind they mention that this works against the “AI defenders.” They don’t seem to mention your human opponents when they’re controlling defenders!
