Madden 20 Team of the Week 7 Revealed: Marvin Jones Jr, Aaron Rodgers Headline New TOTW Players
With the NFL’s seventh week now in the books after a Patriots’ blowout of the Jets, it’s time for a new Madden 20 Team of the Week 7. With the newest reveal from EA’s Madden Twitch on Tuesday (Oct. 22), fans are learning of some of the potential cards to look for in Ultimate Team. They’ll include an Aaron Rodgers LTD, the top item of them all, as well as Hero players for offense and defense.
Madden 20 Team of the Week 7: Aaron Rodgers LTD, new Hero players
There’s no arguing that Aaron Rodgers has been in prime form so far this season. After a disappointing campaign for the Green Bay Packers last season, Rodgers has his team looking like contenders. This past Sunday, he led the team to a 42-24 victory over Oakland with 25-for-31 passing, 429 yards, and five touchdowns thrown. He also scored one on the ground in his brilliant display this past Sunday.
That performance easily qualified him for the “in progress” best item for Madden 20 Team of the Week 7, a limited card as shown below. It’s a 92 overall item for the popular quarterback with a 93 for Throw Accuracy Short, 92 Throw Power, and 91 Throw on the Run.
Joining Rodgers with high-rated cards for TOTW 7 is another player from his division. The Hero player from the offense is the Detroit Lions’ Marvin Jones Jr., who had a brilliant performance of his own. Despite the Lions being on the losing side versus Minnesota, Jones showed up with 10 receptions for 93 yards and four touchdowns. He now has a 91 OVR card along with Patrick Peterson who gets the Hero item in Week 7 for defense.
That Peterson card may be especially nice for gamers looking for another option beyond Deion Sanders at the corner. With the Power Up possibility and Chemistry boosts, it could end up giving a defensive stud on the MUT rosters. However, other gamers will probably stick with higher-level cards such as that Madden 20 MUT Heroes NAT Jalen Ramsey.
Who are the other TOTW 7 players available?
As mentioned on EA Madden Twitch stream and the images themselves, these are all work in progress items based on the Monday Night Football game. There could be some changes coming for the Madden 20 Team of the Week 7 if they feel any Patriots, or (cough, cough) Jets players are deserving of spots.
However, they revealed the following players on Tuesday morning’s stream. There’s an 87 OVR item for the Packers’ middle linebacker, Blake Martinez, as well as a new item for the Cardinals’ halfback, Chase Edmonds. Indianapolis Colts left outside linebacker Darius Leonard also gets a new card with that Power Up symbol and chemistry options.
One other group was also shown for Team of the Week 7. Their overall ratings range from 77 to 84 with stars including 49ers right end Nick Bosa, Saints’ halfback Latavius Murray, and Jaguars’ wide receiver Dede Westbrook.
The new Madden 20 Team of the Week 7 player items become officially available in the Ultimate Team mode at 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time. At that time, gamers can find the TOTW players through packs, or the Auction Browser. In addition, there will be two different challenges.
These challenges correspond with the two Team of the Week 7 Hero players. Earning six stars total will help bring in some nice rewards including one random TOTW player and a Team of the Year (TOTY) token as part of an exchange set.
