Madden 20 Trolls NFL Rookies Kyler Murray, Nick Bosa, & Easton Stick

A lot of attention has been placed on the NFL rookies in the past week, as Madden 20 rookie ratings were officially released. Fans got a first look at who are the highest-rated rookies in the game, as well as how the new NFL players reacted to their numbers. Amongst those players were the No. 1 pick Kyler Murray and No. 2 selection Nick Bosa. Those two rookies were also subjected to some fun trolling courtesy of the EA Madden folks.

Madden 20 trolls Kyler Murray, Nick Bosa

Some fans were expecting when the Madden 20 rookie ratings came out that the top pick Kyler Murray would rate the highest. He does, but for quarterbacks in the upcoming game. Murray holds a 73 overall as he embarks on his NFL journey with the Arizona Cardinals. He’ll still have to prove himself in the game.

Madden’s Twitter launched a series of humorous posts to troll NFL rookies on Wednesday (July 3). In the first one that surfaced, they poked fun at Murray looking for a certain cheat button on the controller during Madden.

The San Francisco 49ers added right end Nick Bosa at the No. 2 spot to bolster their defense for the upcoming season. Bosa’s Madden 20 rating is a 78, making him the third-highest rated rookie in the new game. Only Quinnen Williams (80) and Ed Oliver Jr. (79) rank above Bosa. Still, in Madden’s Twitter joke about things the players didn’t really say, he shows his competitive side with his NFL brother Joey Bosa.

Who is Madden NFL rookie Easton Stick?

One other Madden troll job came on Twitter at the expense of rookie Easton Stick. He was a fifth-round NFL Draft pick, going at No. 166 to the Los Angeles Chargers. Stick isn’t exactly the most well known of the rookies, and Madden decided to poke fun at his name in their third Twitter troll joke of the day.

Being a later pick, that means Stick is nowhere near the top of the Madden 20 rookie ratings. He checks in with a 62 overall, putting him low amongst the overall rankings. However, he’s right near the No. 6 pick Daniel Jones. The New York Giants’ quarterback is just a 63 OVR heading into the Madden 20 game.

Stick is also a quarterback and will be an understudy for the Chargers’ Phillip Rivers. Based on having the name Easton Stick, he could become a lot more memorable in the future but that may require heading to a team in need of a QB.

The new Madden 20 game arrives for PS4 and Xbox One on August 2, 2019.
