More gridiron greats have arrived with freshly upgraded cards for Madden Ultimate Team. This weekend’s trio includes Hall of Famers Tony Gonzalez and Michael Strahan. There’s also Super Bowl champion Joey Porter. Each of the new Madden 20 Ultimate Legends Group 12 cards brings upgraded attributes that could fit well with most Ultimate Team rosters.
New Madden 20 Ultimate Legends Michael Strahan, Tony Gonzalez and Joey Porter
Each weekend for the past few months, EA’s Madden 20 has been unveiled their Ultimate Legends players. We’ve seen a number of these guys previously in the season, but these Career Edition cards are their best yet. For example, Madden 20 Ultimate Legends Group 12 brings Tony Gonzalez a new card. He was previously featured for the NFL 100 group in Week 4.
Gonzalez’s new UL card is a 98 overall with the Power Up and special abilities. Key attributes include 97 Catching, 97 Catch in Traffic, 97 Short Route Run, 95 Medium Route Run, and 89 Speed.
NFL Hall of Famer and Giants Super Bowl champ Michael Strahan is the LTD card for Group 12. The 6-foot-5 left end has 98 Power Moves, 96 Block Shedding, 96 Play Recognition, 95 Strength, 94 Tackle, 94 Finesse Moves, and 91 Acceleration. We previously saw Strahan in Legends and Ghosts of Madden Past.
Last but not least is Joey Porter, a four-time Pro Bowler, member of the NFL All-Decade Team in 2000, and Super Bowl champion with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 6-foot-3 linebacker has 96 Tackle, 95 Power Moves, 94 Play Recognition, 92 Strength, 92 Block Shedding, and 90 Acceleration.
New Ultimate Legends challenges, where to get items
With Madden 20 Ultimate Legends Group 12 comes four new UL Challenges in the game. Tony Gonzalez and Joey Porter each have their own challenge. By defeating these, gamers can win Madden Coins and the players’ Power Up items.
There are two other UL Challenges as well. One of these is to earn an Ultimate Legends Collectible token. For gamers who have been playing these faithfully each weekend, it will be part of a set to get a free Career Edition Ultimate Legends player.
The other UL Challenge is to get a free Ultimate Legends card, typically around an 87 overall. These can be good for building a set for a UL player, Quickselling for Training, or selling at the Auction House.
In terms of getting the Career Edition cards for Gonzalez, Strahan, and/or Porter, there are several ways. Gonzalez and Porter can be acquired by building a set of their other five non-Career Edition Ultimate Legends cards. The cards are available in packs, through that challenge, or at the Auction House.
Michael Strahan is this weekend’s limited-availability (LTD) card, so he’ll be in packs for a few days. He’ll also be available through the Auction House once gamers start to list him as will the other two players’ Career Edition cards.
