Madden 20 Zero Chill Part II: New Players List Includes Walter Payton, Marcus Peters, and More
With Christmas in just a few days, Madden Ultimate Team gamers received some gifts in the form of new Madden 20 Zero Chill content. That included a new high-rated card for all-time great Walter Payton as well as Ravens cornerback Marcus Peters and several other players. Here are more details on the new items that dropped in for the cold weather promotion.
Madden 20 Zero Chill players: Payton, Peters amongst new MUT cards
The Madden 20 Zero Chill promotion got quite a bit of new player items on Monday, December 23. That includes a stellar 95 OVR card for “Sweetness” aka Walter Payton who wasn’t part of the NFL 100 running backs for MUT. The Bears’ running back’s key attributes include 95 Break Tackle, 94 Agility, 93 Acceleration, and 93 Speed, among others. Payton is the new item for Zero Chill part II.
In order to acquire Payton, gamers need to assemble a set of the other three Zero Chill player items pictured in the tweet below. They are Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marcus Peters (93 OVR), Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce (94 OVR), and Pittsburgh Steelers right end Cameron Heyward (92 OVR).
The new Walter Payton item is also popping up on the Auction Browser. As of this report, we’ve seen it going for 470,000 to over 500,000 Madden Coins on the PS4 version of the game. So this one is going to take some spending to add to those Madden Ultimate Teams.

Gamers looking to build up their theme teams for different NFL squads may find some helpful items. These new player items range from 78 to 90 OVR. Here’s the complete list of new Zero Chill player items:

These player cards are available through various Ultimate Team Store offers involving Madden Kindling, Coins, or other in-game currency. In addition, they’ll be available from ambitious sellers on the Madden Auction Browser for bidding or “Buy Now” options.
New Challenges, LTD Kordell Stewart OOP
Another item of note is another new limited-time Out of Position player item. It is for Kordell Stewart at the halfback position, rather than his traditional position of quarterback. The card is in packs until December 24 at 10 a.m. Eastern Time and can also be found on the Auction Browser.
There’s a new Snow Day Challenge as part of Madden 20 Zero Chill. It has 10 different mini-challenges worth a total of 5,500 Coins, 100 Kindling, and 50 Stars.
There’s also a new Hearth event which is a limited-time House Rules style competition pitting the player vs CPU. This week the event is called Snowstorm and involves three points for each first down and five points for each 15-yard touchdown. The game begins with three minutes remaining in the third quarter. Gamers receive three attempts at a first down and there are no special teams involved.
Based on the Difficulty/Star level you play on, there’s a different disadvantage in terms of how many points you’re trailing by at the start of the game. For one Star it’s down by 15, for two Stars it’s down by 30, and for three Stars it’s down by 45 points to start. The reward for winning these are Hearth Packs featuring Kindle, Frozen, Players, Presents, and Puzzle Pieces.
A similar version of this is available in the H2H Hearth but the games last for just one quarter and are worth Gingerbread Men or Hearth Packs.
