Madden 21 Franchise mode brings high school, college, and NFL storylines
Last week, EA had a special Twitch stream online with a discussion of gameplay and a brief tease of an upcoming Madden 21 beta. On Tuesday (June 30), EA presented a number of tweets regarding the upcoming Madden 21 Franchise mode.
The mode is called Face of the Franchise: Rise to Fame. Gamers will take a created player from High School football to College, to the Combine, NFL Draft, and ultimately try to have a Hall of Fame career.
The game will allow you to choose a school name, city, and mascot to start your journey in High School. The story from there involves playing backup to the star QB Tommy Matthews. He has a major health secret he shares with you. What you choose to do with the secret will define your relationship.
Madden 21 Franchise mode will bring a few more college teams into play. Based on their notes, you’ll have 10 colleges to choose from in the Face of the Franchise, after High School. Those teams have yet to be officially revealed.
The story also gives an interesting twist at the college level. The coach says you’ll need to decide if you want to change to running back or wide receiver. Your other option is to just leave for the NFL Draft early.
EA’s Gridiron notes for Face of Franchise: Rise to Fame give more details on all of the storylines you’ll participate in. Those including playing as a backup to an NFL star, trying to come back from an injury at the pro level, and ultimately trying to “ride into the sunset” in your final season.
