The new Madden 21 gameplay trailer has officially arrived to give fans of the football simulation franchise a first look at what’s on the way. Not only is there plenty of new footage to see various players, but one is prominently shown. The official reveal trailer left little doubt as to who the cover star will be with Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson featured from the get-go.
Madden 21 Gameplay trailer revealed online
The new Madden 21 gameplay trailer checks in at a minute and a half, bringing fans of football plenty to unpack. From the opening, we see an overhead view of the newest arena, as they show the virtual home of the Las Vegas Raiders.
The newest member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Mr. Tom Brady, also makes an early appearance in his new jersey. So does No. 1 pick Joe Burrow, who is currently part of Madden 20’s Rookie Premiere program. However, the focus quickly shifts to the reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson, the MVP Edition cover star.
In just a brief intro sequence, fans see the virtual LJ8 running out of the tunnel onto the field, firing up the fans, and then doing what he does best. Jackson opts to take it himself, pulling off a sweet spin move and diving across the goal line for the six points. And that’s just the intro to the trailer.
Some of the other visuals we get in the new Madden 21 gameplay trailer include Saquon Barkley with a new leaping move over a defender and Russell Wilson appearing to duck an advancing defender.
We see not only several highlight clips of virtual Joe Burrow, but fellow rookie Chase Young is part of the mix. Basically, everyone’s favorite team is part of this video, and numerous players are stars, but it’s LJ8 who opens and closes this one. The official MVP Edition cover also closes the trailer out.
