The Madden 21 HB rookie ratings have been revealed and two of the AFC’s best teams will may two of the best running backs. The Baltimore Ravens’ J.K. Dobbins and Kansas City Chiefs’ Clyde Edwards-Helaire are amongst the best of the best in terms of the rookies. However, different rookies lead in attributes such as Speed, Agility, and Strength.
Ravens’ Dobbins tops Madden 21 HB rookie ratings
We’ve recently seen that No. 1 pick Joe Burrow is the highest-rated rookie quarterback in Madden 21 and Henry Ruggs III tops all rookie wide receivers. When it comes to running backs for the upcoming EA title, the Ravens’ J.K. Dobbins, the No. 55 pick in this past year’s draft comes in first. The former Ohio State star has a 75 overall rating with 91 Speed, 90 Acceleration, 87 Agility, and 74 Strength.
Just below Dobbins is the Kansas City Chiefs’ Clyde Edwards-Helaire. The LSU back was the No. 32 pick in the draft and gets a 74 OVR with 86 Speed, 89 Acceleration, 89 Agility, and 71 Strength ratings.
He’s the only halfback featured in the Madden 20 Rookie Premiere program, giving gamers who earned it his dynamic card to start Madden 21 Ultimate Team with. His Rookie Premiere item will upgrade throughout the NFL season based on performance or any special cards he receives.
Edwards-Helaire is actually tied with rookie D’Andre Swift of the Detroit Lions for that second-best rookie HB rating. He brings an 89 Speed, 90 Acceleration, 90 Agility, and 69 Strength to the upcoming game.
Coming in fourth are the Chargers’ Cam Akers (73 OVR) and Colts’ Jonathan Taylor who received 73 OVRs for the game. Rounding out the top five rookies is the Packers’ A.J. Dillon with a 72 OVR.
Which rookies have some of the best attributes?
When it comes to the speediest of the running backs, it isn’t Dobbins, Edwards-Helaire, or Swift. That distinction goes out to the Colts rookie, Jonathan Taylor. His 93 Speed tops all rookies among the Madden 21 HB rookie ratings. We’ve already seen fellow rookie Henry Ruggs III is the second-fastest overall receiver in the game.
For Agility, the top rookie is the Chargers’ Cam Akers with a 93 rating in the attribute category. That’s better than the second-best rookie there, the Titans’ Darrynton Evans by two points.
The Green Bay Packers have the strongest of the rookies in the game. A.J. Dillon brings an 80 Strength to the game, which is better than the second-best there, the Bills’ Zack Moss, by three points.
The Madden 21 player ratings are adjusted as the real NFL season goes forth. So, if certain rookies are proving they are better in certain categories week after week, they’re going to move up in terms of attributes. However, no rookie in this year’s class is starting the game as strong as previous star rookie Saquon Barkley. He entered Madden 19 with an 83 OVR for a strong start to his career.
