Madden 21 Legends Released: First Group of Players Includes Jerry Rice, Dan Marino
With the release of EA Sports’ new Madden football game comes all sorts of promotions for Ultimate Team. As of launch day and into the first weekend of the game’s release, there are new Madden 21 Legends available in the Ultimate Team mode. In fact, they released at least eight of them, with Power Ups available in MUT mode. Here are the details on the new cards and how to get them.
Who are the new Madden 21 Legends?
Eight Madden 21 Legends arrive for gamers to attempt to acquire. These are elite players available for use in Ultimate Team mode. As seen in our title, Hall of Famers Dan Marino and Jerry Rice headline the first release. These players could give gamers a solid base for astarting QB and wide receiver if needed for the MUT roster.
Marino is an early 90 overall player in the game. His key attributes include 91 Throw Power, 89 Throw Under Pressure, 88 Short Range Accuracy, and 87 Deep Accuracy. Marino boasts just a 57 Speed, something many Lamar Jackson or Michael Vick fans from Madden 20 may not go for.
Jerry Rice arrives with an 89 overall card. Rice has 88 Catching, 88 Short Route Receiving, 88 Medium Route, 86 Speed, and 86 Deep Range, giving a great early option at the WR spot.
The six other players (shown below) include Jerome Bettis, Joe Thomas, Richard Seymour, Steve Atwater, Bobby Bell, and Merlin Olsen.
How to get Power Ups and Player Items
In conjunction with the eight Madden 21 Legends released for Ultimate Team, there are also a series of missions to acquire each player’s Power Up card. Those are useful in boosting them further for MUT rosters.
To get the actual player cards shown above will take a bit more in terms of cost or luck. You’ll need to build a Legends Set to exchange for the Legend you want on your squad. Much like MUT 20, the same goes for Legends in MUT 21. You’ll need to acquire five other non-Boss cards for a player to exchange for their Boss card (i.e. the 90 Marino).

For those who prefer not to build the five-card set, there’s always options to go buy the Boss card for the Legends player at the Auction too. However, prices will be high for the high-rated players in the game.
