A new trio of Madden 21 Legends arrived on Wednesday giving gamers more options for their Ultimate Team squads. The latest group is headlined by none other than cornerback Rod Woodson and right guard Larry Allen. Here’s what you need to know in terms of adding these to your Ultimate Team roster.
New Madden 21 Legends Group 2 revealed
With the launch of the new EA Madden game, EA’s MUT crew released eight Legends for Group 1 right after the game’s official release day. Now they appear to be adding more possibly on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. A reveal on social media on Tuesday showed off that RG Larry Allen and kicker Morten Andersen were amongst the newest Madden 21 Legends.
On Wednesday, all-time defensive great Rod Woodson was also revealed as part of the trio. Each player has a new 89 overall Boss card available in MUT as shown below. In addition, there are new challenges, Power-Ups, and non-Boss cards.
As Madden 21 Ultimate Team moves forward this season, the Legends and Ultimate Legends cards tend to include some of the best options for gamers. In the past, players have included icons like Michael Vick, Reggie White, Randy Moss, Bo Jackson, Joe Montana, and Walter Payton. Right now, 89 overall cards are amongst the best in terms of ratings for some MUT gamers, but those will become higher numbers months from now.
How to get Power Ups, Boss cards
Each of the new Legends players has a Power Up card available. These can be acquired through the Auction House. However, for a bit of time, gamers can earn each Power Up by playing a special Legends challenge. The challenge involves using your Madden Ultimate Team to try to beat the Legends’ team in a game. You can set the difficulty for one to three stars. The higher the difficulty the more Coins you’ll earn for beating the challenge.
In order to get the 89 OVR Boss card for a Madden 21 Legends player, gamers can build a set of their five other cards. These include the 81, 82, 83, 85, and 87 OVR cards. Once that set is built, it can be exchanged for the 89 OVR Boss card.
The other way is to get the card at the Auction House. As of this report, Woodson was going for over 600,000 Coins on PS4. Allen was selling for 300,000 Coins or more, while Anderson was anywhere from 360,000 to 400,000 Coins.
