Two all-time fan favorites in the history of the Madden series and over the years in Ultimate Team mode are back! As of Friday night, fans were surprised to see the return of none other than Deion Sanders and Michael Vick to MUT as part of Madden 21 Legends Group 6. They’ll be the only two players in what has been a huge week in Ultimate Team mode so far.
Madden 21 Legends Group 6 brings the fan favorites back
On Friday evening, the official Madden Ultimate Team Twitter account unveiled a first-look at the upcoming Madden 21 Legends Group 6. Michael Vick is back once again, and likely to make many MUT gamers start forgetting a bit about Lamar Jackson. Vick’s new Legends Boss card has a 90 Speed, 92 Throw Power, 91 Run, and 91 Running attributes.
Vick is joined by none other than “Prime Time” himself in his return to Legends. Fans who played Madden 20 saw Deion as part of the NFL 100 promotion, as one of the best players of all-time in the league.
The new Deion Sanders Boss Legends card includes 92 Speed, 92 Agility, 91 Man Coverage, 90 Zone Coverage, and 89 Play Recognition. He’s featured on the Dallas Cowboys and in the cornerback spot. However, most gamers know how valuable Deion is as a return specialist in the game. He also played for the Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers during his career.
To say both players bring a lot to Ultimate Team is an understatement. They’ve become go-to cards for many gamers over the years. Most likely, a lot of MUT fans will be getting either Deion or Vick when it comes time to trade in their Legends Tokens down the road.
New Ultimate Team Challenges
With Madden 21 Legends Group 6 comes another set of challenges. Both Deion and Vick have their own challenges where gamers can earn their Power Up items and Madden Coins.
Additionally, there’s a challenge to earn a Madden Legends Token. Gamers can assemble a set of these tokens to exchange for a NAT Boss Legends player in the future.
Otherwise, Deion and Vick’s non-Boss Legends cards are obtainable through packs at the Store and through Auction listings. You’ll need to put together a set of five non-Boss Legends cards to obtain a Boss card. They are available as of Saturday, September 26.
The new Legends Deion and Vick join a number of other all-time greats released for the promotion. They include Bo Jackson, Junior Seau, Tony Gonzalez, Reggie Wayne, Lawrence Taylor, Jerry Rice, and Dan Marino.
