A shakeup in terms of Madden 21 ratings has arrived as the NFL moves towards mid-season. There have been significant boosts for a number of players across the boards, some of whom moved up the ranks considerably. While there are no new members of the 99 Club, a few are closer than before. In addition, Ryan Tannehill and Melvin Ingram III are amongst rising stars in the game for their respective positions.
Major Madden 21 ratings update arrives mid-season
It’s been quite a season so far in the NFL, with many games played in front of few, if any, fans. Former cover star Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs still appear to be amongst Super Bowl contenders. However, other teams have emerged as strong threats. That includes the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Tennessee Titans. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill has been playing great, and the result has been a 5-1 Titans start plus a move up in Madden 21 ratings.
Tannehill is now an 88 overall in the game thanks to moving up five points in the recent update. That makes him a top 10 quarterback, putting him just behind the New Orleans Saints’ Drew Brees. Meanwhile, the timeless Tom Brady got a two-point boost to become a 95 overall. If he can continue moving up, he’ll join Russell Wilson and Patrick Mahomes in the 99 Club.
EA also indicated that the Cleveland Browns’ Kareem Hunt will join the top 10 halfbacks, making it two such players from the team in that group. On the defensive side of things, the Chargers’ Melvin Ingram III also received a nice boost in his Madden 21 ratings, to climb the ranks of defensive ends.
Biggest moves since launch come for Browns’ guard, Steelers’ tackle
Based on details from EA’s team about the Madden 21 ratings update, since launch, there’s been a notable boost for Cleveland Browns guard Wyatt Teller. He’s moved up by a whopping 14 points to become an 82 overall in the game. Additionally, Pittsburgh Steelers’ defensive tackle Tyson Alualu has moved up nine points to an 81 overall.
Rookie halfback Clyde Edwards-Helaire has had a strong start to the season and has seen an adjustment in his overall rating. He’s now an 81 overall after a seven-point boost over the course of the season thus far.
Another notable increase comes for San Francisco 49ers’ cornerback Jason Verrett. Since the start of the NFL season, Verrett has now gone up by eight points to become an 82 overall in the game.
The above Madden 21 ratings boosts show just how unpredictable this season has been. With many more games left, and eventually the playoffs and Super Bowl, there seems like there will be a lot more changes to come!
