Madden 21 Ratings: WR Rookies Get Numbers, Henry Ruggs III Ranks Second-Best for Speed

In a new EA Madden video, upcoming NFL rookies are continuing to learn of their Madden 21 ratings. In the latest video, it’s the rookie wide receivers who get their numbers with former Cincinnati Bengals WR Chad Johnson delivering the details. Some interesting details come out too, about one rookie who ranks as second-fastest amongst all wide receivers in the NFL.

Wide receiver rookies learn Madden 21 ratings

As the Madden 21 game pre-orders continue, speculation over player ratings also continues. Yesterday, we saw the rookie quarterbacks try to guess numbers from all-time great Steve Young. As expected, the top pick Joe Burrow came in with the best overall rating of all rookie QBs.

In the new video, it’s a group of upcoming rookie wide receivers with Chad Johnson delivering the news. They include Cee Dee Lamb of the Dallas Cowboys, Jerry Jeudy of the Denver Broncos, Henry Ruggs III of the Las Vegas Raiders, and Tee Higgins of the Cincinnati Bengals.

The WR rookies seem a bit less humble in giving numbers than the QBs, with some assuming they’ll have 99 speed or other really high numbers. Interestingly, Johnson informs the Raiders’ Henry Ruggs III has a 98 Speed, so he’s the second-fastest in the game behind only Tyreek Hill of the Chiefs.

Per Bleacher Report, Ruggs was impressive at the NFL Scouting Combine when he recorded a 40-yard dash time of just 4.27 seconds. Now he’ll need to show that quickness for the squad as they represent Vegas.

The Cowboys’ Lamb was informed he has a 90 Speed in Madden 21 ratings. That’s some key information ahead of release as the Madden 20 Rookie Premier program includes Lamb. So theoretically, gamers who have acquired Lamb will have a WR on their Madden 21 MUT roster with that speed when the game drops.

Update: All rookie WR ratings arrived. See more details at EA.com.
