Rookie Ratings and Premiere program

Ahead of the visuals above, we’ve also seen some of the game trailer footage featuring rookies like Burrow, Henry Ruggs III of the Las Vegas Raiders, and others. In addition, EA released all of the Madden 21 ratings with the rookies amongst some of the first players to have their numbers revealed.

From that, we learned that Burrow and Ruggs are the highest-rated offensive players of the rookie class, each with 76 overall. Lamb and Jeudy, who were also featured in the Madden 21 rookie face scans video above, are next at 75 overall. Tagovailoa is a 73 in the game, while Herbert is a 70 OVR.

That said, the Detroit Lions’ Jeff Okudah is also in the video up above. The Lions cornerback will begin Madden 21 with a 76 overall. Okudah is amongst the players we saw available through Madden 21 Rookie Premiere.

That’s a program where gamers could complete exchange sets (or purchase) for Tokens to get any of 10 select rookie cards in Madden 20. Once gamers get the 99 OVR RP card for a player, they’ll automatically have his dynamic item in Madden 21. As the player receives special upgrades through promotions in the new game, the Rookie Premiere card will also upgrade.

Others in the Rookie Premiere promotion are Burrow, Lamb, Cole Kmet, Derrick Brown, Patrick Queen, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and Xavier McKinney. Gamers who have yet to complete all of the Madden 20 Journey missions, can still earn one of the 10 rookie cards to have for Madden 21.
