Madden 21 Sign-in Issue Update: EA Provides Workaround Solution for Xbox One, PS4, and PC Glitch
A recent issue hampered many gamers who were trying to sign in and play Madden 21 following a title update this past Thursday. EA has now responded to and fixed the Madden 21 sign-in issue. They’ve also given gamers for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC a workaround to resolve the glitch so they can get back online and install an update.
November title update brings Madden 21 sign-in issue
Just a few days ago, EA released a large November title update (Version 1.15) for the game which fixed many gameplay issues, added a new Superstar KO mode, and more. As with other updates, it wasn’t without new issues, though.
It brought about a headache for many people as they were trying to play the game. Basically, a good number of gamers were unable to sign into the game to play as usual. That clearly was frustrating on Friday (November 6) since Series 3 officially launched in Madden Ultimate Team.
EA acknowledged they were looking into the issue to try to fix things.
While frustrated gamers continued to comment online, but eventually EA released an update about the situation:
We have observed an issue where players were getting locked out of signing into Madden NFL 21. We have corrected the root cause, but because affected players are unable to sign in, not all players can get online to get the fix.
EA gives workaround solutions for PS4, Xbox One, PC
Since not all players could get online to get the Emergency Title Update, EA provided a workaround for each platform. The solution to the Madden 21 sign-in update will allow gamers to ultimately restore access to the game and then be able to get the Emergency Title Update.
The tweet below shows the workarounds for Xbox One, PS4, and PC:
As seen above, the Xbox One solution involves simply clearing “reserved space” in the game’s Saved Data folder. On PCs, it involves a similar action, where gamers have to go to a particular directory to delete a specific folder.
However, the PS4 workaround involves deleting the game entirely and reinstalling it from disc or digitally from PS Store.
As mentioned, after the workaround, gamers should be able to get past the Madden 21 sign-in issue. From there, they’ll be able to install EA’s Emergency Title Update for the game to work.
