Madden 21 Team of the Week 5 Players Include New DeShaun Watson, Chase Claypool Cards

After another week of top performances in the NFL, the Madden Team of the Week is back. It’s now up to Madden 21 Team of the Week 5 and features two quarterbacks for gamers consider for Ultimate Team. One of them is a legend of the gridiron, while the other is just getting started. In addition, there are a number of other upgraded player items for offensive and defensive stars from the gridiron.

Madden 21 Team of the Week 5: Offense & Defense Heroes, LTD, POTW cards

Last night, Madden fans saw the early reveal of the new TOTW Offense and Defense Heroes ahead of today’s Good Morning Madden Twitch reveal. As with previous weeks, the Offense and Defense Heroes for TOTW this season are players who had strong performances in the past.

This week the Philadelphia Eagles’ Randall Cunningham returns for Ultimate Team as part of Madden 21 Team of the Week 5. The former Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings’ quarterback is a 91 overall. Cunningham, the Offense Hero, has a 91 Throw Power, 91 Run, 89 Deep Accuracy, 88 Play Action, 88 Speed, and 88 Short Accuracy.

Chicago Bears defensive standout Lance Briggs is this week’s Defense Hero. Briggs’ card includes a 90 Tackling, 89 Acceleration, 88 Play Recognition, 87 Block Shedding, and 86 Speed attributes. Here’s a look at both players revealed on last night’s tweet.

For this week’s Limited TOTW player, it’s the Denver Broncos’ cornerback Chris Harris Jr. who gets a new 92 OVR item. Harris has 92 for his Play Recognition, Man Coverage, and Agility, with 89s across the board for Speed, Acceleration, Zone Coverage, and Pass Rushing.

The Madden 21 Team of the Week 5 player of the week is Pittsburgh Steelers’ wide receiver Chase Claypool with a new 91 overall card. Claypool tallied 110 yards and three touchdowns on seven receptions in a 38-29 win over the Eagles. His new 91 overall player item is featured below with 93 Jumping, 92 Speed, and 92 Catch in Traffic attributes.

Other TOTW 5 players include Watson, Queen

While some of the players revealed above don’t currently play in the NFL anymore (Cunningham, Briggs), Harris and Claypool do. So do the remaining Madden 21 Team of the Week 5 players, led by Houston Texans’ quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Houston picked up their first win of the season, defeating Jacksonville 30-14. Watson threw 25-of-35 completed passes with 359 yards and three touchdowns in the win, leading to his TOTW item (below).

Gamers who picked up the Patrick Queen Rookie Premiere item in Madden 20, should now have him in Madden 21. He gets a considerable boost with his new Team of the Week 5 item which goes up to an 88 OVR with improved attributes.

The new Team of the Week 5 also brings new challenges to Ultimate Team. With these gamers can earn Madden Coins, a Team of the Year Token, and other rewards. The challenges and new player items are usually available in packs or at the Auction House starting around 2 p.m. Eastern Time.
