The next installment in the popular EA Sports football simulation franchise, Madden 21, will finally have its first trailer reveal. It’s then that fans are expecting to get an early glimpse of what to expect with the next edition of the game. EA initially postponed their event scheduled for the beginning of the month, but will now shift some quick attention to the title.
EA Sports sets Madden 21 trailer reveal date
In recent social media posts on the EA Madden Twitter, Instagram, and elsewhere, they revealed a date of Monday, June 16. In the IG post, they noted “First look coming soon” and also “Link in bio.” That link points to the YouTube channel, where there’s a video (below) all set to go for June 16. That’s where fans of the video game will be able to check out the Madden 21 trailer as it arrives.
The Madden 21 trailer reveal was initially set for June 1. However, EA postponed the event as they observed the protests taking place over racial inequality and injustice. The company, like many other video game companies and publishers, went quiet on social media for a while as well. Now they’ll officially unveil the trailer that many video game fans are waiting to see.
Madden cover reveal coming too?
Months ago, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson let it slip that he will be on the cover for the new Madden video game. The Baltimore Ravens tweeted it out and EA’s Madden acknowledged it in a tweet (below) as well, pretty much solidifying his status as the cover star. However, there has yet to be any cover revealed with the reigning MVP on it. Most likely, that could arrive along with the Madden 21 trailer.
Jackson could be heavily featured in the trailer since he is the new cover star. In addition, there may be glimpses of any new components to the game such as the Face of the Franchise mode which involved playing with a choice out of eight NCAA college teams in Madden 20.
Otherwise, all that has been revealed so far is some Madden 21 Xbox Series X gameplay footage and the potentially-leaked release date. Based on various reports circulating the internet, the new Madden’s release date is August 28, 2020, with early access three days ahead of that. We’ve yet to see any PlayStation 5 footage for the new game.
For those gamers currently playing Madden 20, the Rookie Premiere Program recently went live in Ultimate Team. This will allow for the acquisition of up to 10 of the members of the NFL’s 2020 rookie class. Amongst those players are the top three picks including Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.
While gamers will receive a high-rated version of the rookie for Madden 20, the best part is they’ll also receive the new rookie’s card when Madden 21 officially arrives. See more Rookie Premiere details here.
