Madden 21 Ultimate Legends Group Includes Super Bowl Champ, Former NFL Sacks Leader

As the weekend arrives, that means another group of Madden 21 Ultimate Legends is coming to the popular game mode. This Saturday’s release will feature several more former standouts from the league including a Super Bowl champion for Steelers theme teams. There’s also a former NFL sacks leader who could help improve MUT rosters’ defensive coverage. Here’s a look at who and what is on the way to Ultimate Team this weekend.

Madden 21 Ultimate Legends group revealed

On Friday night (May 7), the @EASPORTS_MUT Twitter revealed two of the brand new Madden 21 Ultimate Legends. For Saturday, gamers will be able to pick up new items featuring Pittsburgh Steelers halfback Jerome Bettis and former NFL sacks leader, La’Roi Glover. Both players will have top-tier items featuring 99 overall ratings.

Bettis, aka “The Bus,” is a former Super Bowl winner and three-time All-Pro who is now in the Hall of Fame. The former Steelers star gets 99s for his Break Tackle and Trucking attributes, along with 98 Carrying, 96 Acceleration, and 95 Speed.

Glover, who is a former NFC Defensive Player of the Year, led the league in sacks in 2000. The former Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle has 99 Tackling to go with 98 Finesse Moves, 97 Play Recognition, and 97 Block Shedding, among other key attributes.

Bettis previously popped up in the Madden 21 Legends series, with his best card at an 89 OVR. Glover is among the Team Captains that gamers could choose for their Ultimate Team. The Team Captains cards are able to be upgraded by progressing through challenges and levels in the mode.

Both guys will now have Madden 21 Ultimate Legends popping up in the game on Saturday, May 8. Their 99 OVR cards are likely to be available by putting together an exchange set of other lower-rated cards they’ll have. There will also be several new Ultimate Challenges available where gamers can earn their Power Up items and Madden Coins.

New UL players join Golden Ticket releases

The new Madden 21 Ultimate Legends players will be among the latest to have 99 overall items in MUT mode. There have been two groups of Golden Ticket players released into the game, all of whom have 99 OVRs. The second group just arrived on May 6.

The group featured quarterback Derek Carr, wide receiver Jalen Reagor, and free safety Grant Delpit. These cards are available through the Madden Auction House but bring some high prices with them, just like Bettis and Glover should starting Saturday.

In addition to the above Golden Ticket players, the first group featured Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown, former Ravens QB Robert Griffin III, and a card that shifted the Bucs’ Mike Evans cornerback. All of the cards are currently available in packs and for bids or “buy now” action at the Madden Auction House.
