The Ultimate Legends are still arriving each weekend, as Madden 21 Ultimate Team continues to roll out some of the final content for the game. In this weekend’s release, gamers will have a shot at several multiple-time Pro Bowlers including a former Super Bowl champion.
That’s the LTD release, while the two main releases give gamers some help on the front lines for offense and defense. Here’s who’s included in the Madden 21 Ultimate Legends players for Release 17 on Saturday, June 5.
Madden 21 Ultimate Legends Players: Peppers, Jones, and Alworth
With the new 99 OVR Golden Ticket players just released a day ago, Saturday brings in the latest group of Madden 21 Ultimate Legends players. Their Career Edition cards each bring 99 overall ratings with upgraded stats for rosters in need. We start off with six-time All-Pro and former Defensive Rookie of the Year Julius Peppers. He’s also No. 4 all-time in career sacks for the NFL.
Peppers’ Ultimate Team 99 OVR features 99 Play Recognition, 98 Finesse Moves, 96 Strength, 96 Power Moves, and 95 Blockshedding, with 92 Speed. His archetype is Speed Rusher and he’ll certainly help generate sacks and pressure on opposing QBs.
The other main UL release goes to left tackle Walter Jones as an Agile archetype. The six-time All-Pro and nine-time Pro Bowler was a 2014 Hall of Fame inductee. Jones features 99 Run Block Finesse, 98 Awareness, 98 Power Block Finesse, 98 Power Blocking, and 96 Strength attributes.
Last but not least is the new Lance Alworth LTD item shown above. The longtime Chargers wide receiver became a Super Bowl champion with the 1972 Dallas Cowboys and was a six-time Pro-Bowler.
Alworth entered the HOF in 1978 and now has a 99 OVR item, in packs for the next 48 hours. Top attributes include the 99 Deep Route Run and Catching along with 98 Short Route, 97 Catch in Traffic, and 97 Speed.
This becomes Alworth’s best item in the game since his previous Madden Legends card.
New challenges, card prices, and more
As with previous releases, the new Madden 21 Ultimate Legends players release will include a set of new Challenges in Ultimate Team. One will be for Peppers and one will be for Jones. With these, gamers can earn their Power Up items and Madden Coins. There’s a third challenge available to earn one Ultimate Legends Token, which can be used in a tokens exchange set for a free UL player.
The above cards are found through packs and the Madden Auction House listings. As mentioned, Alworth is in packs for just 48 hours, but the Auction House after that. The other way to acquire Peppers or Jones is by completing their specific exchange sets. Those require 1x 97 OVR, 4x 93 OVR, and 4x 89 OVR versions of the player items.
To get a Random Skill item for Peppers or Jones will require another exchange set. That features any 2 87-88 OVR UL cards, 5x 85-86 OVR UL cards, and 7x 83-84 OVR UL cards.
The new cards, challenges, and exchange sets will arrive in Ultimate Team around 11 a.m. Eastern Time on Saturday, June 5.
We’re now awaiting possible details of the 2021 Rookie Premiere program since it was part of Ultimate Team last season. In addition, many fans are looking ahead to the Madden 22 release, with details still to be announced about the next EA football game.
