Madden 21 Ultimate Team: Final Wildcard Wednesday Players Include Nick Foles, LeSean McCoy
While the NFL season officially concluded with the Super Bowl back in February, Madden 21 Ultimate Team season continued. Content kept arriving on a regular basis including the Wild Card Wednesday promotions. These featured cards from different player programs released into MUT via packs. On Wednesday, April 28, the final edition of Wild Card Wednesday will arrive in Ultimate Team. Here’s a look at what’s on the way for the last of this special content.
Final Wildcard Wednesday for Madden 21 Ultimate Team
During the ongoing Madden Bowl 2021 competition, the final lineup for cards coming to Wildcard Wednesday was revealed. Madden 21 Ultimate Team fans will be able to pick up five different players for the Veterans promotion. These are typically players who have enjoyed a considerable bit of time in the league with good careers.
Leading the way for the Veterans on Wednesday will be Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles, who went from the Philadelphia Eagles to the Jacksonville Jaguars and Chicago Bears. His new card features a lower 77 Speed rating but features 95s for Throwing Power and Short Pass Accuracy. He also brings 94 Play Action and Throw Under Pressure to MUT lineups.
Another former Eagles star is also in the group, as halfback LeSean McCoy also gets a Veterans card for MUT. Other players revealed in a GIF on Madden Ultimate Team Twitter include wide receiver Danny Amendola, linebacker Jon Bostic, and strong safety Bradley McDougald.
Before this release, Nick Foles’ best card came via the Most Feared program. However, that was just an 85 OVR item for the Chicago Bears. His new card provides a considerable upgrade. Fans last saw LeSean McCoy with a Zero Chill card that had a 93 OVR.
Gamers were also able to acquire an 89 OVR Jon Bostic for Team Standouts, making him another great upgrade this Wednesday, especially for theme team builders.
Amendola and McDougald are the biggest upgrades here. Amendola’s previous and only card was a 77 Core Gold item for the Detroit Lions. McDougald had a 78 OVR Superstar MVPs item.
Veterans pack, player card details for MUT
Gamers can acquire Veterans packs through the Madden 21 Ultimate Team store. These packs currently cost 6,000 Training and give one random 89 OVR or better Veterans player. In addition, gamers can purchase individual Veterans cards through the Madden Auction House. As of this report, the new player items had yet to be released into the game.
However, there are currently player cards rated at 95 OVR for the Veterans promo selling at the Auction House for 92,000 to 200,000 Madden Coins. That may gave an indication of what to expect with these new releases on April 28.
Other Wildcard Wednesday releases included Rising Stars and Flashback player cards. These packs currently cost 7,500 Madden Training and are also available at the Madden Store. Individual cards are available through the Auction House, although bigger and better cards continue to arrive in the game.
Most likely, there will be another Rookie Premiere promotion similar to last year’s content. This typically features up to 10 of the upcoming NFL rookies in conjunction with the NFL Draft. The cards also typically transfer to Ultimate Team in the next game, Madden 22, and then receive automatic upgrades throughout MUT season.
