Madden 21 Ultimate Team: Upgraded MCS Cards Include Ezekiel Elliott, Shaquil Griffin
A batch of new Madden 21 Ultimate Team content has arrived just in time for the annual Madden Bowl. On Sunday, it was revealed that four upgraded MCS promotional cards were added into Ultimate Team mode. They include Dallas Cowboys halfback Ezekiel Elliott and Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Shaquil Griffin. Here’s all you need to know about the new cards that are now available in MUT for upgrading those rosters or boosting theme teams.
Elliott, Griffin headline Madden 21 Ultimate Team’s MCS promo
The newest promotion for Madden 21 Ultimate Team comes as part of the Madden Bowl content. It’s part of the annual Madden Championship Series, where one of the skilled gamers will walk away with the belt, bragging rights, and some nice prize money. Meanwhile, MUT fans will benefit from content drops, including four new MCS cards, each with 98 overall ratings.
Leading the way is the Cowboys’ Elliott, as the star halfback gets 97 Break Tackle, 97 Acceleration, 96 Carrying, 96 Speed, and 95 Agility scores. Those 95 Change of Direction and 94 Trucking attributes won’t hurt a bit either. It makes for Zeke’s best card since his 95 OVR Team Standouts item released several months ago.
Joining him here is cornerback Shaquil Griffin, who is now a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars. A 98 Zone Cover is part of his card as well as 97 ratings for both Speed and Acceleration. The Zone coverage star also gets 95 Play Recognition, 94 Jumping, and 94 Pass Rush scores to help out the secondary.
Last but not least are wide receiver Allen Lazard and free safety Justin Reid, both of whom are featured in the Madden 21 Ultimate Team GIF below showing off their new items.
Ultimate Legends Group 10 also released in MUT
On Saturday, three new Madden 21 Ultimate Team player cards arrived in the game for Ultimate Legends. Featured in the release were wide receiver Calvin Johnson, cornerback Richard Seymour, and strong safety Ed Reed. All three players have 99 overall ratings with upgraded attributes, giving some serious boosts at their respective positions.
With 2021 Hall of Fame inductee Calvin Johnson, gamers can add a stellar Deep Threat wide receiver to their rosters. Megatron has 99 for Spectacular Catch, 98 Jumping, 97 Deep Route Run, and 97 Speed. His 96 Catching and 95 Catch in Traffic will be welcome additions to the receiving group on most rosters in MUT.
Ed Reed’s new card includes 99s for both Zone Coverage and Play Recognition along with 97 attributes for Speed and Acceleration. For Seymour, gamers can add a right end that boasts 99 Tackling, 99 Block Shed, 98 Strength, and 98 Power Moves.
Seymour was the latest LTD card released and is available randomly in packs until April 19 at 10 a.m. Eastern Time. Gamers can get Reed and Johnson by putting together an exchange set for either player. They require four of their 89 UL cards, four of their 93 UL cards, and one 97 UL card.
There are also Ultimate Legends Challenges available for Johnson and Reed, where gamers can earn coins and their Power-Up cards. All three players’ cards are also on the Madden 21 Auction House for varying price points.
