It’s Wildcard Wednesday in Madden 21 Ultimate Team, which typically means a new group of player items through packs or elsewhere. Previous weeks featured Heavyweights, Rising Stars, and Flashbacks. This particular Wildcard Wednesday brings 10 new Power Up player cards to Ultimate Team mode. In addition, there are new Power Up Challenges available to help earn a special reward for The 50 promotion.
Madden 21 Wildcard Wednesday brings new Power Up items
A total of 10 players in Madden 21 Ultimate Team received Power Up cards on Wildcard Wednesday. Amongst the standouts are Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, Detroit Lions halfback Adrian Peterson, and Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill. Each of the players now has a 68 OVR base Power Up to use in terms of upgrading them.
Power Up items typically allow gamers to upgrade a player using Madden Training and/or various in-game items they can acquire, including the players’ other cards in MUT. However, there are also Power Up Passes which are earned in the game and can help upgrade player cards to higher levels.
- Adrian Peterson (HB, Lions)
- Jonathan Allen (DT, Washington Football Team)
- Larry Fitzgerald (WR, Cardinals)
- Cory Littleton (MLB, Raiders)
- Ryan Tannehill (QB, Titans)
- Robby Anderson (WR, Panthers)
- Mark Andrews (TE, Ravens)
- Xavier Rhodes (CB, Colts)
- Landon Collins (SS, Washington Football Team)
- Devon Kennard (OLB, Cardinals)Â

Limited-time challenges bring PUP Fantasy Pack
In addition to the new Power Up player items, gamers can also play the Limited-time Madden 21 Ultimate Team Challenges. There are five total Power Ups Challenges, each worth up to Three Stars. Rewards for each challenge include as many as 850 Madden Coins and a free Power Up player item.
By earning 15 stars through completion of all the Power Up Challenges in Ultimate Team, gamers earn The 50 PUP Fantasy Pack. Basically, this gives a choice of any one of The 50 players’ Power Up items to add to your collection for use in MUT mode.
Among the players we’ve seen revealed for The 50 promotion so far are Ryan Shazier, Ryan Dawkins, and Taylor Mays. It’s a pretty nice way to add to one’s Ultimate Team roster with a high-rated player. However, the Challenges will officially expire as of 10 a.m. Eastern Time on October 21, giving a week to get those 15 Stars.
