Madden 22 Bo Jackson Promo Adds Digital Cover, Superstar X-Factor, and More
EA has launched an exciting new promotion for the Madden 22 game featuring the legend himself, Bo Jackson. The former two-sport star excelled in the NFL with the Oakland Raiders and is now among video game royalty. On Friday, EA revealed their Madden 22 Bo Jackson content which included a brand new cover featuring Bo. In addition, gamers can get a new starter pack, Superstar X-Factor ability, and other content in the game.
Madden 22 Bo Jackson: Bo Knows Promo launches in-game
A new Madden 22 Bo Knows promotion launched within several game modes in EA’s football sim title on Friday, November 19. Those modes will include Ultimate Team, Superstar KO, and The Yard. Each will have different Bo-themed content for gamers to explore and utilize.

Fans who grew up during Bo Jackson’s era in sports learned to love him as the popular two-sport athlete in the NFL and MLB. According to EA’s report, he is the first athlete to hit 32 home runs and gained 1,000 scrimmage yards in the same calendar year. Bo also helped ignite the Nike Air Trainer sneakers to new heights with his popular “Bo Knows” advertisements.
The launch of EA’s promotion also brought a brand new digital cover for Madden 22. Gamers should see the cover, shown in the Las Vegas Raiders’ tweet below, when logging into the game on their console.
Promotion includes Ultimate Team Starter Pack, Superstar X-Factor
The Ultimate Team mode features the Madden 22 Bo Knows promo in several ways. There’s a Starter Pack for MUT fans when they log into the mode. The pack will give all gamers the 85 overall Bo Jackson card shown below. It includes 83 Trucking, 83 Carrying, 82 Speed, 82 Break Tackle, and 80 Agility amongst key attributes. This could be a great starter card for those new to the Ultimate Team mode.
In addition, the Starter Pack features the Raiders Base Dark and Base Light uniforms to use with your Ultimate Team. That way, Bo can wear his trademark NFL colors on the gridiron.
There’s also a brand new Superstar X-Factor to honor the video game legend. Gamers can “Dominate with the custom ‘Bo Knows’ Superstar X-Factor ability built to emulate the mythical versatility of the legend himself,” according to EA.
Madden 22 Bo Jackson content in Superstar KO, The Yard
The promotion also extends to two other popular Madden 22 modes, Superstar KO and The Yard. Bo is now included in the Superstar KO draft and based on EA’s details, his Superstar X-Factor is “always on.”
In The Yard, the Madden 22 Bo Knows promo has taken over Nike headquarters. Gamers will find limited-time gear drops including special “Bo Knows-themed Nike designs and the Nike Air Bo Turf shoes.”
It’s also worth noting that the 85 OVR (above) is one of two cards available for the Raiders star. There’s also a Vanity Bo Jackson card which can be acquired through The Yard. Check out details for Bo’s Vanity card at MUTHEAD.
To earn the 91 OVR item, gamers need to complete objectives (shown below) in The Yard mode with the Bo Knows shoes equipped.
EA’s Madden NFL 22 is currently available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Google Stadia.
