Madden 22 Legends Release 11: Troy Polamalu, Plaxico Burress Join Ultimate Team

EA has unveiled their newest Madden 22 Legends release featuring former stars of the gridiron with upgraded Ultimate Team items. For the release on Saturday, October 30, MUT fans can acquire new cards featuring former Super Bowl champs Troy Polamalu and Plaxico Burress. Both of these NFL stars now have high-rated cards with 93 or 94 overall ratings, among other items in the game.

Madden 22 Legends release 11 features Polamalu, Burress

It’s been six years since Troy Polamalu suited up for the NFL, and eight years since Plaxico Burress was catching passes. Both players have Super Bowl rings, with Polamalu earning two as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Burress won his as a favorite target for quarterback Eli Manning with the New York Giants.

They each have new cards in the Madden 22 Legends release as shown below, with their LTD’s coming it at 94 OVR and Boss Legends items at 93 OVR. For the Hall-of-Famer Polamalu, gamers get a hybrid strong safety with 94 Power Moves, 94 Zone Coverage, 93 Speed, and 93 Pursuit attributes.

Burress brings a physical receiver with 94s for Jumping, Catch in Traffic, Spectacular Catch, and Medium Route Running. With 93 Speed and 93 Catching, he’s definitely a top-tier WR for your MUT roster.

New Exchange sets & Missions arrive in MUT

There are a number of ways to get those high-rated Madden 22 Legends cards. The easiest for those with some spending power via Madden 22 Coins is to simply head to the Auction House and bid or buy now. Prices run high for the LTDs, but those with enough bankroll may not be worried.

For those who prefer less expensive ways, consider purchasing packs for a chance at their cards including the LTDs. Those are available in packs for a limited time window, usually 48 hours.

The Boss version of the Madden 22 Legends cards can be acquired via exchange sets. These sets each require five cards to complete. They are Polamalu or Burress’ 2004, 2010, Premiere, Proven, and Novice items. Once completed, gamers receive the 93 OVR Boss Legends version of the player. These sets are also repeatable.

Getting those cards to build the sets comes via packs, the Auction House, and playing the new Missions. Earn one star each on the Plaxico Burress and Troy Polamalu Missions. By doing so, earn each of their Power Up player items, and a NAT Novice Legend of either.

Here are the requirements for each mission:

Troy Polamalu Mission: Down by two points, 3rd quarter, Record sack and win the game.

Plaxico Burress Mission: Down by four points. Score a passing TD in the 4th quarter, and win the game.

The latest Legends release for Ultimate Team is the 11th in the game mode. Previous Legends releases included Broderick Thomas, Michael Vick, Charles Woodson, Ronnie Lott, Jerry Rice, and Larry Csonka.

At some point during or after the NFL season, Madden will switch to Ultimate Legends with those cards typically carrying much higher ratings. Previous Madden releases have featured favorites including Bo Jackson, Walter Payton, Lawrence Taylor, and Michael Strahan, among others.
