The newest cards for John Mackey and Lee Roy Selmon will help boost MUT rosters as both players have high-rated items We’ll break down their newest cards and how to add them to your Ultimate Team this weekend.
Mackey and Selmon added to Madden 22 Ultimate Team
Over the past week, a lot of new content arrived for Madden 22 Ultimate Team cards. That included Team of the Week 2, Flashbacks, and the recent Team Diamonds. However, MUT fans know that each season also brings Legends and Ultimate Legends during the EA game’s lifespan. These are high-rated cards of all-time greats, mainly consisting of Super Bowl champions, Hall of Famers, or recently-retired superstars.
As of Saturday, September 25, MUT revealed a new LTD 92 overall John Mackey for Legends Group 6. The former Indianapolis Colts tight end brings it with 92 Catching, 92 Catch in Traffic, 92 Spectacular Catch, and 88 Speed for his Key Attributes on his LTD card. In addition, he’s got a lower-rated 91 OVR card available in MUT.
Joining him is fellow Hall of Famer, Lee Roy Selmon. The 1979 Defensive Player of the Year was a star with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With his 92 OVR LTD item, you’ll get 93 Block Shedding, 92 Power Moves, 92 Acceleration, 88 Strength, 88 Tackling, and 88 Play Recognition. See more of their stats via the MUTHEAD database.
How to get the MUT items and related content
There are new Mackey and Selmon Madden 22 Ultimate Team Legends Challenges. For Mackey’s, you need to pass for 25 yards or more and win a game using your Ultimate Team. For Selmon, you need to record a sack and win the game. Each Challenge is worth 1,000 Madden Coins, a Power Up for the player, and a Legends Token.
By completing both Challenges, gamers can earn an 84 OVR NAT card of the Legend of their choice. However, getting the 91 OVR Boss Legend requires building an exchange set. This set consists of the player’s Novice, Proven, Premier, 1963, 1966, and Boss Edition cards. Cards can be acquired through packs, exchanges, and the Auction House.
Their LTD cards are available randomly inside packs for a limited time over the weekend. Alternately, gamers can shop the MUT Auction House to pick up specific player cards including Selmon and Mackey LTDs, which are the best of the releases. Selmon’s LTD is going for about 517,500 to over 600,000 Coins, while Mackey’s card can be scooped up for 350-450k Coins for PlayStation as of this report.
