In terms of competitive sports gaming, the Madden Challenge will be one of the most anticipated tournaments of the season. It brings 16 hopeful gamers into the competition, looking to win their share of a $190,000 prize pool. Here are more details on the upcoming Madden NFL 19 Challenge format and schedule as well as how to watch it all live online.
Madden NFL 19 Challenge tournament details
This is a three-day event which will take place at EA’s headquarters in Redwood City, California. It begins on Friday, March 15 and wraps up on Sunday, March 17. A total of 16 competitors start out, but ultimately one gamer wins all the glory. Heading into the Challenge, Drini “Drini” Gjoka enters as the defending champion. Drini was a major competitor during the Madden Classic back in December 2018.Β He’ll look to repeat as champion at this year’s Madden Challenge.

He’ll face strong competition from last year’s runner-up Shay “Young Kiv” Kivlen, amongst others. Also competing will be Pavan Lakhat, a recent Madden Club Championship winner. It’s a strong overall field of hungry competitors looking to make their moves up the standings by grabbing necessary points.
There will be four groups with four competitors in each group. After the group stage of the competition, there will be just 12 gamers who move on to play in the single elimination stages of the tournament. Here’s a look at the 16 gamers who will compete in the upcoming tournament:

As mentioned, there’s a total of $190,000 in cash on the line for the 16 competitors to split up, depending on how they finish. There are also Madden Championship Series points. First place wins $35,000 and 1,000 Madden Championship Series points. Second place, gets $25,000 and 800 MCS points. It all kicks off Friday, March 15 beginning at 12 p.m. Noon Pacific Time. The first two days of action will last for seven hours each, with a variety of viewing choices. More details are below for live viewing options. Here’s the complete schedule for the competition:

Viewing options will include EA Madden NFL’s Facebook, Mixer, Twitch, and YouTube channels. Since there will be more than one game going on between competitors at the same time, viewers can use the Mixer channel to watch an exclusive “secondary matchup.”
The Madden NFL 19 Challenge Championship Final will be telecast live on ESPNews with a replay on ESPN2 on March 21 at 9 p.m. Pacific Time.
