Madden NFL 20: Zion Williamson Joins New Orleans Saints in New Highlight Videos

Zion Williamson may be the future superstar of the NBA, but in the video game world he can also be a superstar in other sports. That includes Madden NFL 20 as a recent highlight video has emerged showing the New Orleans Pelicans rookie in the game. Could Zion become the first two-sport star to play basketball with the Pelicans and football with the Saints?

Zion is doing quite a bit before his first NBA season even starts. In recent days, the No. 1 draft pick made headlines many things including a multiyear deal with the NBA 2K basketball game. He also visited Saints’ practice see his new friend Drew Brees. Zion even caught a few passes during his time there, as he prepares for life as one of the New Orleans sports stars. At 6-foot-8 and at least 285 pounds, he could probably do a bit of damage in the NFL.

He’s not officially a member of the New Orleans Saints, except in EA’s Madden NFL 20 video. The new highlight clip shows Zion making all sorts of highlight plays and even doing a trademark Ric Flair strut after one of the. The basketball phenom catches, runs, and throws passes as part of the new video.

A previous Madden 20 trailer showed off a number of NFL stars and celebrities talking about what they would do in the game. That included hip-hop stars Lil Yachty and DJ Khaled each putting themselves into the game. Yachty became a member of the Houston Texans’ defense, while Khaled played quarterback for the Miami Dolphins. One has to think Zion’s size and athletic ability would give him an advantage over both guys in terms of actually playing for an NFL team.

Here’s another gamer’s Zion Williamson Madden 20 creation video. Just like in The CheckDown’s video above, Zion does quite well in the game.

The new Madden NFL 20 game arrives for PS4, Xbox, and PCs everywhere on Friday, August 2. Visit EA’s site here for details. It’s currently in rotation for customers who received Madden 20 pre-orders of the Superstar and Ultimate Superstar editions. Soon, more gamers may be adding themselves or their favorite celebrities to the new football simulation game just for those “What If?” possibilities.
