Madden NFL 22 MCS Season: Trailer, Schedule and Registration Arrive As EA Looks to Crown the Greatest

EA has unveiled a Madden NFL 22 MCS season trailer in anticipation of the upcoming season. When all is said and done, they’re hoping to have crowned the G.O.A.T. in the world of competitive Madden. The Madden Championship Series will feature a big prize up for grabs, and it looks like many of the top esports players will be vying for it. Here are the latest details on MCS 2021-22.

New Madden NFL 22 MCS Season trailer

The phrase “I am the greatest,” arrives quite often in the new Madden NFL 22 MCS season’s trailer. That’s because they all are looking to prove just that in the upcoming Madden Championship Series. Only one will rise above the rest.

Among the competitive players featured in the minute and a half video clip are Jonbeast, XSET Joke, Drini, and Noah. All of these players are looking to show they’re the best of the best in this coming MCS season.

There will be a huge prize pool up for grabs with an over $1.65 million prize pool dispersed over the various tournaments. So players will need to bring their A-game if they want to bring home the money.

Check out the trailer below which features a mix of NFL and Madden game highlights, as well as highlights from last season of the Madden Championship Series.

Last year featured virtual Madden tournaments taking place with players participating from their homes or other remote areas. That included the inaugural college championship which JWall won.

In addition, EA’s Madden added the Derwin James vs. the World and King of the Hill online shows via their Twitch channel. Gamers who watched the Derwin series earned special rewards for viewing the streams. The ultimate prize was a high-rated Derwin James player item for Ultimate Team.

When are the tournaments scheduled for?

The Madden NFL 22 MCS season beings with the Kickoff 22, scheduled for September 7th through Sept. 8th. This one will have a $150,000 prize pool for those who make it into the field.

After that, players will have a bit of a break, with the next big tournament coming for Thanksgiving. It’s scheduled for November 19th and 24th with a $250,000 prize pool.

From there, another break of about a month arrives, until the Wild Card 22 tournament. It’s set for January 13th and 14th with another $250k prize pool up for grabs.

The Madden Bowl 22 arrives on February 12, and with that comes the whopping $1 million prize purse, making it the one players will be setting their sites on.

How to register for Madden 22 Championship Series

Right off the bat, it’s worth noting that the tournaments are only for gamers with the current-gen Sony PlayStation 5 or Microsoft Series X/S consoles. So that may rule out a lot of people with last-gen consoles who were interested in competing. It seems EA and the best of the best have moved on with their hardware.

The tournament is only open to players who are 16 years of age or older and are residents of the US, UK, Mexico, Germany, and Canada (including Quebec).

Registration officially opened on Monday, August 9th for the tournaments via Battlefly’s MCS registration page here. Based on the details on the page, registration will continue until August 21st.

Individuals interested in registering can do so through that page with a free Battlefly account. Signing up for Battlefly’s website is available using a valid email address, Apple, Battle.net, Google, Facebook, Twitter, or Vkontakte account.

The Madden 22 video game has a release date of August 20, 2021, for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Windows PC, and Google Stadia.
