Madden NFL 22 Superstar X-Factors: Wide Receivers and Tight Ends’ Abilities Revealed

More Madden NFL 22 Superstar X-Factors are getting the spotlight, as EA prepares for the launch of their newest football video game. Over the past several days, EA has revealed the special abilities for quarterbacks and running backs. Now, it’s time for wide receivers and tight ends to get some of that spotlight. Among the latest players revealed for EA’s X-Factors week are Travis Kelce, Julio Jones, Darren Waller, and George Kittle.

Madden NFL 22 Superstar X-Factors revealed including five players with Double Me

EA has unveiled four more special abilities for offensive players in their game. These Madden 22 Superstar X-Factors will be available for wide receivers and tight ends. Once activated they’ll allow gamers to increase yards after catches, elude defenders, and more.

With Double Me, receivers will be able to win aggressive catches against single coverage. Activating this ability requires that receiver to get two receptions for 20 yards or more by air. However, if they have a drop, incompletion, or three-straight non-targets on plays, they’re out of the zone.

Based on EA’s reveal, five players have this Superstar X-Factor so far. Two of the 99 Club members, tight end Travis Kelce (Chiefs) and wide receiver Davante Adams (Packers), will have the ability. So will Titans WR Julio Jones, Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins, and Buccaneers WR Mike Evans.

Other abilities include Max Security, RAC’Em Up, and YAC’Em Up

Max Security will be another of the returning Madden NFL 22 Superstar X-Factors. The WRs or TEs with this will get a higher success rate on their possession catches. To activate the X-Factor, the TE or WR needs four receptions in a row. Deactivation occurs when there’s a drop, incompletion, or three consecutive non-targets.

EA revealed that Cowboys WR Amari Cooper, Chargers WR Keenan Allen, and Saints WR Michael Thomas all have the ability.

With the RAC’Em Up Superstar X-Factor, receivers or TEs will win RAC catches against single coverage. Three receptions of 20 yards or more will activate the ability, while a drop, incompletion, or three-straight non-targets will deactivate it.

Just two players have the ability so far. They include near-99 Club member Tyreek Hill of the Chiefs and Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs who have it available.

There’s also a Superstar X-Factor known as YAC’Em Up. Raiders WR Darren Waller and 49ers tight end George Kittle will have this one available. It gives an increased chance of breaking the first tackle after a catch. To trigger or activate the ability, the player needs three receptions of 20 yards or more. Deactivation happens with a drop, incompletion, or three-straight non-targets on plays.
