After you set upgrade the Scorched Detectors during Reassembly Required, you’ll return to Abbie’s Bunker. Here, you should automatically start the Fallout 76 Coming to Fruition main quest; the next step on your journey across Appalachia. The rewards for this mission are unlike any you’ve gotten before from a main quest – traps which you can build yourself.
How to Complete the Fallout 76 Coming to Fruition Main Quest
To start the Fallout 76 Coming to Fruition quest you simply need to return to Abbie’s Bunker after Reassembly Required. Once you arrive, retrieve the Master Holotape from the desk by the Scorched Detection System Terminal. You’ll be carrying this tape to a number of different sites throughout the quest. Your first destination is Harpers Ferry, a derelict town in the southern part of the Mire. When you reach the town, follow the objective marker to the Armoury Access Terminal. This can be found on the south side of town. Enter the Master Holotape and choose the “Play Holotape,” option to access the machine. This will allow you to open the armoury door.
Inside the armoury, turn right and enter the building. Inside, search for a terminal which will let you open another locked door, then progress further in. When you reach the upper floor, look for a hole in the wall with boards forming a bridge to another building. Cross over the gap and drop through the floor to find another terminal which will unlock yet another door. Keep progressing through to another building and to a final terminal which will unlock Raleigh’s Terminal. Now put in the Master Holotape.
Now you need to put the Holotape into Sam’s Terminal, which is in the Charleston Capitol Building. You should have already been here during the Key to the Past main quest, so you can easily fast-travel there. On the building’s third floor you can find the terminal you need. Unfortunately, it’s locked. You can find a security terminal in the building’s basement. Choose the “Accounts,” topic, then “Account Lockdowns,” and finally “Samuel Blackwell”; this will let you unlock the terminal. Go upstairs and put in the Master Holotape.
The last terminal you need to put the Master Holotape in can be one of several. Specifically, you need to put it into the terminal of any Relay Tower. There are a number of these across Appalachia, but you should already know the location of Relay Tower LW-B1-22, as you visited it during Early Warnings. Once you’ve downloaded the Relay Tower data using the Master Holotape, return to Abbie’s Bunker. You should now be able to use the Scorched Detection System Terminal to reboot the system and complete the quest at the same time.
Your rewards for completing Coming to Fruition include random aid and aid items, a new photo frame, and a random legendary weapon or armour piece. You’ll also get the plans for both Electrical Arcs and Flamethrower Traps; useful traps to set around your C.A.M.P. The next quest, Defiance Has Fallen, should start automatically.
