March Releases for Xbox Game Pass

Each month, Xbox announces new games and updates that arrive for Xbox Game Pass that users can purchase or download for free. This month has a heavy focus on sports with a hint of outer space. Most of these games will also only be available for a limited time, either at the end of March or halfway through April.

Keep in mind that some of these games require EA Play, which is a membership that gives you access to unique titles from the brand. There’s plenty in-store this month for Xbox Game Pass users. Here’s the full breakdown:

  • “Madden NFL 21” is perhaps the biggest title coming to the service this month. Get the most out of the new features and enhancements as you dive into everything football-related. This console game is available through EA Play.
  • “Football Manager 2021” for PC also lets you play, manage and score big prizes in the great sport of football. Then, you can also get the “Xbox Edition” of this game for console and PC where you get even more features, like 3D matches.
  • “NBA 2K21” for cloud and console is available now. This game brings authentic play styles and realistic controls to the already wildly successful game series.
  • The console version of “Star Wars: Squadrons” will be available through EA Play later this month. Play with your friends or people online as you dogfight your way through space in this intergalactic experience.
  • “NHL 21” will also be available on EA Play. With new moves and “Be A Pro” mode, you’ll nail down all things hockey in no time.

The first three titles on this list are available now. “Star Wars: Squadrons” doesn’t have a set date yet and “NHL 21” is coming in April.

You’ll also have some DLC and game updates to choose from.

  • The Control DLC sale lasts until March 8.
  • “Gear 5: Operations 6” DLC package brings some new characters and scenery.
  • “Minecraft: The Mountain” is a brand new map that lets you explore and partake in some challenges.

With such a full month of games, you can act now to get all the titles your heart desires.

Leaving Xbox Game Pass Soon

Just as new games appear, it’s time to say goodbye to some titles that Xbox Game Pass is removing. These are the games that are leaving:

  • “Alvastia Chronicles” — the console and PC versions
  • “Astrologaster” — for PC
  • “Bloodstained: Ritual of Night — the console and PC versions
  • “Kona” — for console
  • “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” — for console

Perhaps the most shocking name on this list is “The Witcher 3.” After its wildly successful few years of sales, and TV adaptation, the game has taken on a cult following. It will be frustrating for some users who want to play but don’t yet have the game. It’s also somewhat of an interesting decision on Xbox’s end, to remove such a popular game.

Still, with plenty of games coming to Xbox Game Pass this March, you’ll have endless hours of entertainment ahead of you.
